Just be aware of booking by a third party and prepaying for your room. They tried to adjust my rate by adding the amount for that one night stay. After contacting the booking agent, the manager was called to override the "extra nightly fee." The afternoon staff was not very friendly. Other guess checking in stated that she was on the phone fussing with her daughter. When she told them their room wasn't ready for early check in, they turned on the reception area light to wait in the lobby as most folks do while waiting for their room. The worker turned off the lights and told them they could not wait. Then she asked them if they wanted to cancel their reservation! We all kept our reservation because we wanted to be in the same hotel and had traveled from various places outside of Indiana. After we received our rooms, none of us were giving any information about the facility, breakfast, or check out time. Other than service, the renevated motel rooms are small and cozy. They were very clean and well maintained. We actually had a fairly brand new smart TV in the room. We didn't realize until we arrived that the rooms could only be accessed outside-but that was our fault of not looking at the exterior more closely. We put the iron board and iron up against the door to alert us IF anyone tried to break in. Our group had three rooms, and we all agreed to never stay here again. They did honor our request to put all the rooms next door to each other. After the Pacers game, we did stop by the front desk to get information about breakfast. The night clerk gentleman was very professional and kind; however, we decided not to eat the 6:30 a.m.-9:30 a.m. continental breakfast and left way before the 11 a.m. check out. We did appreciate that the Twin Peaks restaurant was conveniently located within walking distance...
Read moreI recently stayed at this hotel for two nights and paid over $350, expecting a comfortable and well-maintained experience. Unfortunately, the stay fell far short of expectations.
We arrived very late the first night (around 1:00 AM), after calling ahead to let the hotel know we’d be arriving after midnight. When we got to the room, we found the air conditioning unit was completely off — despite the fact that it had been 90+ degrees during the day. The room was sweltering and genuinely difficult to breathe in. It took nine hours for the room to reach a comfortable temperature after we turned the AC on.
When we raised this with the front desk, the response was casual and unhelpful: “Oh sorry, our cleaning staff probably forgot. They don’t turn on the AC unless they know a guest is arriving.” That excuse doesn’t make sense, considering we had already called ahead and confirmed our late arrival.
To make matters worse, we woke up the next morning to find ants crawling all over the box of donuts we had purchased for breakfast — and all over our luggage and the TV stand. When we reported it to the front desk, they seemed surprised, but we later learned other guests on our floor also reported ants in their drinks. Clearly, this is a known issue that hasn’t been resolved.
This hotel looks nice on the surface, but it’s missing the basic hospitality and cleanliness standards you should be able to expect at this price point. There were no laundry facilities, limited communication, and no real sense of accountability when problems arose. I have photos of the ants and have submitted them with this review.
I don’t usually leave negative reviews, but guests deserve to know what they’re walking into — especially when paying...
Read moreThis hotel is fine for those who aren't interested in paying huge amounts for a room. The hotel is older, and the elevator and halls need up dating. The rooms seem fairly nice and probably have been up dated within the last few years, and they're decent! The "free breakfast" was very mid and not much to choose from. No bacon, sausage, or eggs. Just cereal, pancakes, yogurt, instant oatmeal, muffins, limited fruit, Oj, coffee, water.
The hotel is within 5 miles or so of just about everything...Walmart, fast food, sit & serve restaurants. It's in the northeast part of the city. I don't know if that's considered dangerous, but I would stay vigilant(as always) and bring your pew pew if you can. The parking lot has pot holes and needs to be repaired and better lighting for security!
Overall, if you can afford better... do so! Otherwise, I feel most normal people will find it more than sufficient!!!
BTW: The tv sucked...could be very nice if they took the time to connect it to the internet, and you could cast your apps from your device to...
