Five Guys — Restaurant in Indianapolis

I don’t usually leave reviews but in today’s world I really felt that I needed to speak out on this particular establishment & the way it is ran. First off, the environment was clean but more importantly to me, the people who work here were helpful, kind & friendly. The food was excellent. And I am the kind of person that if I am leaving home, it’s for an experience. From top to bottom, front to back. Whether it’s for a burger or a steak. It matters. And this spot right here, it’s one of those for me. It hit all the check marks. It was easy to order online but once I went in to pick up I decided to stay & eat there. And I’m so glad that I did. Everything was exactly how I ordered it, tasted amazing & the service was nothing short of perfection. You can tell that the staff takes pride in their work, even if it is slinging burgers & fries. It makes all of the difference & it shows. I hardly ever crave a burger but if I do, I want a real one. Five Guys is it. This store was clean & employees seemed to work cohesively. Not at all impressed. Prices are exorbitant for what it is. $50 for 3 burgers, a plain hotdog, two small milkshakes, a coke, and a large fry is outrageous, especially considering the fact that it isn't even brought out to the table. Burger wasn't awful, but it wasn't better than a $3 Whopper either. Bread was good, patty had tons of grill scraping chunks in it. A burger patty that's so crunchy it scrapes the gums and leaves grease on the roof of the mouth is not exactly becoming of a $6 burger. Please clean your grill somewhere other than into my food. Fries were good. Fresh cut is always the way to go. Milkshakes were good. Coke comes from those awful all-in-one machines that makes every drink taste funny like it hasn't been cleaned out, or is mixing remnants from other selections into yours. Overall, I'm confused at the ratings people give this chain. This is the 2nd time I've been here, and the experience was exactly the same...

I went to this Five Guys tonight after online ordering. We waited 45 minutes for two burgers and two orders of fries and the employees told us they didn’t get our order. We never got our order and when I pulled up my order confirmation email and showed that I paid and it was sent to the right location and everything I asked the woman at the register for help and she said, “I’m just an employee”. She told the manager what was happening and he said we probably sent it to the wrong location and when I told him it was his location and read the address and gave the order number, he shrugged his shoulders and walked away. I asked for a refund and the manager and cashier taking orders both refused. I had to call a number from their website to get my refund and I will never come to this location again.
