Guadalajara Grill is an explosion of colours and decorations and fountains and lights. It is bordering on sensory overload but it helps you quickly transport yourself away from a midwest strip mall to a Disneyfied Mexico. The food is pretty typical Mexican restaurant food at pretty typical prices but be warned, the cocktails are really expensive. I had the huevos con chorizo which was sizeable and tasty but not as spicy as I expected chorizo to be. The Horchata drink was a bit on the watered down side. The service was good, attentive and the server spoke some English. Food was delivered quite quickly so no complaints on that front. The restaurant is surprisingly expansive (it looked small from the outside) and quite popular. Pro Tip The restrooms are clean but strangely the stall doors are pretty short, making you feel a bit exposed. If that seems uncomfortable to you, you might want to take care of your restroom needs elsewhere. Be sure to look for the fake Disney decorations (with knock-off Pinocchio)

We dropped in here for dinner on Saturday night and it was simply awesome. The food was fantastic and I gotta say this funky place has all kinds of crazy brightly colored decor which just kind of goes with the theme of Tex-Mex. Something which is so yummy and delicious that your taste buds will thank you for was the strawberry lemonade. Lemonade such a cool and refreshing drink you’ll love it because it’s strawberry lemonade. But seriously this place is got some funky funky to it by that I mean it’s not every day that you’re going to see a water fountain right in the lobby kind of cool unexpected and yet delightfully entertaining. Everything on the menu looks great prices seem reasonable service is fast in fact I think our food ride within three minutes of ordering it. I gotta get this please double thumbs up if I were an ape I give it for thumbs up using my feet too it’s just that good.

The atmosphere here is better than the food. There’s a Mexican restaurant down the street that we normally go to but I was thinking of trying something different. I had been here years before but couldn’t remember how it was. I did not like this place better, definitely going back to the other option further East. For me it’s their salsa, too liquidy. Plus my husbands a picky eater & they didn’t have his meal he always orders so I had to specially order it & it just seemed super complicated. It was okay, not my favorite & wouldn’t recommend it over other close Mexican options.

Another fine restaurant gone to hell. Service & food quality have been compromised. I've been a faithful patron of here for years. Placed (2) separate orders of seafood nachos, my friend's came out with the normal portion sizes of fish, crab & shrimp. Mine came out with overcooked tortilla chips, heavily sauteed mix matched fish pieces, incl (1) shrimp & spongy textured tasting crab. Along with room temp rice.

Upon bringing this to our waiters attention, he looked to my friend's plate & asked her to count her shrimp. After she answered with her count of (4) his response was, he would bring out (3) more as if quantity was my only point. He completely dismissed my other points.

I found his response to b sarcastic so I asked to speak with the mgr. He directed me with a head bob and said she's up there & walked away. "Up there " was at the front of the store where the hostess counter is.

A person bussing the tables was close by, so I asked if she would send us the mgr

The mgr introduced herself as the owner's daughter and called her father to determine how to solve.

The solution was to remove the seafood nachos from the bill and replace it with the cost of something else.

No consideration of the time constrait of my lunch hr or that my friend felt awkward eating in front of me.

Again when I pointed my concerns out ovr the decline in service & quality, the mgr asked if I would like my new order to go.

Would u believe my replacement order was a sloppy mess with shriveled up rice that had been sitting under the heat lamp too long?!

I later returned that same eve in hopes to relay my experience with one of the managing partners but unfortunately, she was equally passive, not interested and also said she would have to speak to the owner.

I really enjoyed the atmosphere and the service. Very friendly, very sweet waiters and waitresses. I loved their colors and fountain set up and that they played appropriate music for the setting. I do have to say the menu is very overwhelming and has too many items. Most of the time, I find that whenever a restaurant has that many items that means they don't specialize and the dishes are all mediocre dishes. This was a red flag to me upon reviewing the menu online before I went but I gave it a chance from the high ratings. I ordered a burrito, a chalupa, and rice and beans. I also ordered guacamole because they served chips and salsa for free except the salsa was too wet and liquidy. The guacamole was ok, nothing special and under dressed, regretted ordering that. My entree was a disappointment. They gave me a huge messy amount of mushy refried beans and the smallest portion of rice to mix it with. I ended up not eating it with the rice because of the incorrect ratio . I used the mess of refried beans as dip for my chips being that both the salsa and guacamole weren't good. The burrito had just beef in it, was smothered in sauce, and I didn't eat that because that's disgusting that it was covered like that and I wish the menu described it because I don't like sauce and the burrito was plain. The chalupa was pretty much a tostada with refried beans and lettuce on it, and that was the only item I enjoyed. I would rate their food a 0, and only good if you've never had real Spanish rice and beans, but their service was phenomenal so that...

Went here with a friend for dinner. They were not busy, so we were seated right away. The decor of this place is one of a kind, pretty cool atmosphere! When we sat down we received chips and salsa. Shortly our waitress came and took orders. For an appetizer I got the chorizo Queso, which was AMAZING. For my entree I ordered the all seafood skillet(cant remember the actual name), with no mushrooms. It might have been another veggie, but I know I specifically asked for none of it in my meal. It took.awhile to.get our food, but it did get pretty busy so I understand that. When I received my food it had the mushrooms in it. The waitress promptly apologized and took it back. I waited about ANOTHER 20 minutes to get my plate again, and it was COLD. I ate it anyway and it was not seasoned. The crab was imitation. So my friend gets the waitress and she got the WORST attitude and told me what I ordered, and stormed away from us! We were completely respectful. The manager did comp my meal and apologized, and she was our server. She.Was wonderful. However, i will. Not be coming back to...
