Been a regular at this deli for around 11 years. Customer service has never really been great, but it hasn't been awful either. Until I walked in one day and tried ordering the same thing I've been getting for the past decade, at least. No smile, no acknowledgment, not even a vague remnant of a "howdya do." I initiate the hello and the order, while she gives me what could only be described as a taciturn glare. Like I'm bothering her for trying to get food there. It seems to be a pattern among businesses on the west side of Indianapolis, and I cannot for the life of me figure out what's in the water that could cause such an epidemic of grumpiness.
I order half a McAlister's Club (two mini sandwiches instead of four). She takes my order with all the silence of a grave. I attempt to pay part cash part credit, but she's clearly off in her own little world and shoves the cash money back to me with a stern exasperation. When it finally comes, it's an entire club, higher price tag included. I honestly wasn't mad at her for getting the order wrong. What I was a bit irked about was the fact she got my order wrong while providing zero customer service. If you're that silent and moody, the least you could do is not screw up my order.
Manager was underwhelming in responding to my refund request. A bit snarky in response too. ...
Read moreI ordered my food from the app today. I usually have good service. Today however I did not after paying almost $29 just for my one order I added bacon to my salad and I guess that meant not to put the chicken that was suppose to come on the salad on there. When I called to speak to someone about it, they asked me if it was anything I wanted them to do about it. I paused, he then continued and said I mean I can let them know. The right thing to do would have been to right the wrong that simple. I was a restaurant manager for more than a decade and currently I still work in customer service. I did not want my entire order replaced because I understand the business. I know how people try to get over, food cost, etc. My food did not taste how I would have liked without the chicken on my salad that is clear as day on the picture as advertised. He could have offered to replace my salad at least at a later date, He could have offered a coupon, a free beverage for my inconvenience however he made it seem as though it was nothing he could do but notify the person that made the mistake. I put that in my notes and moving forward I will think twice about rather I should eat at...
