Hahahaha I was just thinking about this lady "is she mad at me" and than I read Manuel's post :) :) She looks almost hostile. Someone said it is clean- no, it is not. Just like majority of Viet and Chinese places; sticky, greasy, restrooms outdated... but that's their style. If you don't like it, don't come. I've been in a few hundreds asian (not including Japanes) restaurant all over a country, and just a few were clean according to my taste. This one is bearable. Food is ok. Because Viet food is the best food ever. Update. I came back after one year. The same situation- great food, pretty dirty tables, and the lady server.... Something is wrong with her, her face can’t produce a smile, and her brain can’t deliver even a traces of kindness. Usually I don’t care about service, but this is insane. I’ll keep coming. Food is great. And the...

Just got back from this place and highly recommend it. It is a real hole in the wall, but the spicy beef noodle soup (which seems to be what they are known for) did NOT disappoint. I have been living off and on in Asia for the past decade, and it was one of the best Asian soups I've had in the midwest, think spicier, richer pho. Don't be put off by the chunks of fatty beef in there; that's part of what's giving the soup its luscious character. You aren't going to this place for filet mignon. The lower end cuts of beef are what MAKE this soup what it is. The standard house pho was also excellent, as was the Vietnamese pancake, which was huge. My only complaint was that they used what appeared to be egg noodles instead of rice noodles in my spicy beef soup. I think it would have been EVEN better with the more typical...

Second attempt at finding the perfect Indianapolis Vietnamese crepe / pancake. The crepe wasn't the texture i expected, a bit more greasy and doughy. While those descriptors may be off putting the product was nice. The spices and flavors of ingredients were good, it was a very full crepe and while the shrimp were a little shrimpy they were generous, the pork had great flavor and it was packed with fresh sprouts, and it did have a crisp exterior though not the crispy crunch i expected. Quality fish sauce, i tried the beef rolls as well and they were average but fine. The service was prompt and hospitable. I fully anticipate this crepe making it to the Indy finals. Small dining area as expected from a strip mall location however cleaner and cuter than predicted. Super reasonable prices also...

The food looked and smelled very good. Unfortunately, it did not taste great. We ordered shrimp Bùn, which they call noodle combination. They do not serve the typical spring rolls which go on the dish. Instead, their spring rolls have pork. The only egg rolls they had were beef, and they were very good. This place gets two stars only for how good the beef egg rolls tasted. The bùn had a lot more bean sprouts than noodles and was rather unsatisfying. The lo mein had the texture and consistency of overcooked spaghetti and very little flavor. Worst of all, the mango bubble tea was simple unpalatable. I had to dump it out. The honeydew bubble tea was o.k. Saigon is right around the corner on 38th street; I recommend them instead. Similar prices, but much better food and solid options.

I came in craving pho, and Sizzling Wok definitely delivered on that! The broth was flavorful and comforting — I even asked for extra noodles. The restaurant itself is simple and clean, nothing too fancy. They were out of chicken wings and a couple of other items when I went, and most of the egg rolls have pork (even the shrimp ones), so just a heads up if that matters to you. I had the shrimp fried rice, seafood pho with added chicken (which I drowned withhh the chili pepper oil), and some crab rangoons — overall, I really enjoyed the pho the most. I’d come back for that alone!
