The Thompson House — Restaurant in Indianapolis

My husband and i decided to go for the 25 cent wing night. He arrived a little before 8, ordered wings and a drink. I arrived at a little after 8:30. At 9 my husband was ready to leave, I wanted wings. So, when I seen a male waiter I told him that it'd been an hour since my husband ordered. He said the orders are taking an hour he was short with me and his tone was harsh. He asked who the waitress was I told him I don't know I had been there well over 20 minutes and she hadn't come to the table. I asked if he could check on our order. He walked off spoke to someone and came back in our direction. I thought he was going to relay a message at the very least. He walked by us in silence went to the table behind us and then left the area. At that time we left.

TH Is about 8 mins from our house. This was going to be the 4th time going there, but I cannot bring myself to pay for poor service. It was not nearly as busy as it had been previous times so I honestly don't understand the delay. Even giving the benefit of the doubt as to why the service was slow. there is no excuse to not check on your customer for a whole hour. There is no excuse to be borderline rude to a customer for a simple inquiry. Due to the fact it's close and has this amazing special I thought I would frequent this place but we will not...

WORST PLACE EVER!!! I'm pretty sure our server was a crackhead. She couldn't even read my ID. She asked to keep my ID with my food order, really...also, every time we asked her about an item or a cost she kept asking us to look on the menu because she was clueless. I don't know how the food is because WE NEVER GOT IT. Our food was taking forever so we finally were able to track down our server and we asked if we could please get our salads first and she said "PROBABLY NOT BECAUSE I ALREADY PUT IN YOUR ORDER WITH IT ALL TOGETHER! Are you kidding me?!!! Finally a half hour later, the manager came out(I think he was the manager) and all he said was I got your order right here and showed us the ticket and this is because OUR SERVER WAS NO LONGER IN THE BUILDING...SHE LEFT! Maybe we would get our food soon then. 20 minutes later, he tells us the kitchen is backed up but our wings are coming. 15 minutes later...sir I need my bill. He then again told me that the wings would soon be out, I told him after an hour and 20 minutes I just wanted my bill. Let me remind you...I DON'T KNOW HOW THE FOOD WAS BECAUSE WE NEVER GOT IT! Oh my, where do I start. Well with the wings I guess since that's the only picture I have. This place has some of the best food I've ever had. Robert is the cook and, man, can he ever!! Lots of homemade items and daily specials. His cream of celery soup was incredible. The wings are OUTSTANDING! Meaty and slightly crisp skin before tossed in his own creation called Mambo sauce. Everytime we're back in the area, eating here is a must. The epic grilled cheese with bacon and tomato makes my mouth water. You can get the regular grilled cheese and cup of soup for just $5! And those wings? Thursday night and Sunday they are just $0.25!!! Obviously 1 drink minimum and no carry out. I've never had a bad meal here. I love it. The drinks are proper and reasonably priced, the staff is nice. The business used to be down the road and was called Lizards. They have a really nice set-up for bands, and a lively dart league along with 1 pool table. Plenty of seating as well. Go here, eat food and be merry. For some the crowd may seem a little loud or rough, sort of like a dive bar crowd, depends on what you're used to. Food overrules any flaws...
