Wendy's — Restaurant in Indianapolis

A long time ago I saw a rat going into the back where they keep food while I was sitting in drive thru. They were pretty dirty back in the day. They finally cleaned up and remodeled to the modern Wendy's. Customer service is optional!!!! Depends on who is working. I pulled up one night placed my order in drive thru even long line in front and behind me. I saw them give order to person in front of me, then I pulled up and they said their computers went down and we can't give you any thing. The food was already made, so why not go ahead and give the food to me and any other customers who ordered and food was prepared, then tell the other people who came they had computer problems. That would keep food from being wasted and good customer service! They wouldn't have lost that much money! I usually just order son of a baconator and it's edible but so many other Wendy's make them so much better, hot and fresh! So if you really need Wendy's, it will do, but sadly the east side needs to do better! I got the ghost pepper chicken sandwich and it was so juicy and delicious that I had to leave a review. I dont think I've had a sandwich this fresh tasting at a Wendy's before. And the woman that took our order at the register was so friendly and patient with our complicated order, she was the sweetest thing!!

Unfortunately, they seemed to be out of quite a few things (most salads, a few drink options), there was a leak in the middle of the room over some of the tables with buckets to catch the water, and the dining area could use a little more upkeep. The bathrooms were decently clean, but the lock was broken to the stall. Overall, those are all signs of being understaffed and underfunded, in my opinion. I dont think it should reflect on the workers there.

As I drove by the store (1:20am) the drive-thru line was around the building, but I didn't immediately stop. I returned at 1:30am and sat at the drive-up speaker for 5-7 minutes and no one responded. I drove to the window and the lights were on inside, but still no one came to the window. I went next door to grab food and watched vehicle after vehicle go through the same thing. There was a car parked in the lot and eventually I saw a female worker inside that came into the view of the drive thru window, she grabbed a clipboard and walked back to the back of the store. I never saw anyone else inside. I attempted to call the store and I didn't get an answer. This is was just bad business all the way around. A sign on the window or speaker would have helped tell the customers that you were closed although the drive thru was supposed to be open until 2AM or better yet turn off the lights inside and we would have thought you were closed!
