I’ve visited Xing Fu Tang a handful of items now because their house made boba is great! It has its own unique flavor and texture. I will say however it’s a very “sticky” boba and often gets stuck easily in the straw or to other toppings. Their tea on the other hand isn’t anything impressive. I’ve found that their milk teas are VERY sweet (if that’s your cup of tea) but I can hardly taste the original tea flavor (even after adjusting sweetness). The milk teas almost have the consistency of a melted down milkshake because of the strong sweet milky taste. I also would have to say the same if their fruit teas.. not overly impressed and limited options. The milk teas seem to be more “crafted” and unique but the fruit teas lack depth to be worth this $9+ for a large. Some of their teas get up to even $12😳. I think the shop does a really nice job assisting their customers and providing a welcoming environment but the teas themselves aren’t anything special (Boba is great though...
Read moreAround late March, I came here with a friend. We were super excited to try out a new boba place. My friend ordered the Taro Boba Milk and I ordered a Gold Foil Brown Sugar Boba Milk. The Taro Boba Milk had chunks of taro at the bottom. However, the chunks were to large and could not be sucked up by the straw. The ice got in the way as well so rather difficult boba milk to drink. The Gold Foil Brown Sugar Boba Milk was very delicious and not overly sweet. There was not any customization options. The drink has various textures which made it fun to eat. I would highly recommend this drink. This is a different type of boba and everyone should keep this in mind. The service could be better by talking to the customers and providing recommendations. The place does have lots of seats/tables and feels very cozy. Lastly, the place has a luck game (free) that everyone should check out. Overall, I cannot wait to come back and try...

There is literally nothing better than freshly made boba. It's made daily here and the texture is truly unlike others that usually use a dried tapioca ball.
I also really appreciate that their flavored strawberry boba was NOT popping "boba" but was actually the fully chewy ball that tasted INCREDIBLY like strawberry 🤯 which is so unique in general, let alone for Indianapolis.
So many decadent flavors to choose from! I usually go with 25% sweetness on all my drinks which is plenty sweet... I'd go lower with the drinks here if I could because they are very sweet...
