Asked Service lady about a recall I had received notification in the mail for to verify if its something that would cover what was going on with my vehicle she told me YES they did see said recall in system on my vehicle as well as multiple others. Great got the vehicle towed to location just to get a call 20 min later that they have no idea why I had it dropped off. Proceeded to argue with me and tell me that they didn't confirm what the recall I called about was for. After verbally asking if it would cover my issue and being told YES that among other recalls that were on the vehicle. Couldn't even take responsibility for a simple mistake on their end and put all the blame on me for something they told me not even 2 hours prior was part of a recall so I asked if they were gonna help reimburse or get the vehicle towed the 5 miles back down the road. Cause I had just paid 160 dollars for a tow to get it there after being told that my issue would be covered. No instead they told me Im a liar and must of misunderstood a simple yes or no answer and that I wasn't entitled to anything for free based on info that their representative/ employee gave. Because they didn't actually know the answer to and just agreed to whatever was said. Like i wanted to just pay for a tow for no reason and get mad when i ask how they plan on making up for a mistake that would now cost an additional 160 overall to put it right back where i had it in the first place. Money must grow on trees or something .very unprofessional very bad attitudes all around everyone i spoke to other than justin who explained to me what and why my issue wouldn't be part of that recall. The other two ladies i spoke with clearly hate they're day job and the idea of customer service.it could of been As easy as an apology, would've of been nice but unfortunately even that's to much for them to handle. Would highly recommend using any other service center for any reason if you want a more professional HONEST conversation...
Read morebought a new hyundai 9/15/23 which came with a 3 year OR 36k warranty and 3 oil changes. I've had it changed near my home a number of times as I live 20 minutes from IGH and before getting that 3rd oil change in that came with the car, I went just over 36k miles today (by a couple hundred) so they wouldn't honor it. I get it. Rules are rules. Policy is policy. But I can't imagine how they'd handle an actual warranty problem. It's less expensive as they say, to keep a customer than find a new one. Imagine doing all that advertising to attract customers and something as simple as doing that last oil change, albeit outside of the mileage limit, could've kept one. Meanwhile, the Santa Cruz is fine ride and quite happy with the vehicle. But, they have them in White Bear Lake too. C ya !
((edit following IGH Hyundai response: It's not a "warranty" issue. It was part of the purchase: 3 oil changes and tire rotation were included over 3 years. I don't recall it being tied to the mileage associated with the factory warranty. I was well aware I'd be exceeding 36k inside of 3 years. I had never considered you'd use warranty terms as the foundation for the deal. Speaking of warrantly, the last minute hitch install when I bought the car, and janky 4 pin harness sticks out from the rear bumper and gets bent if you hit a snowbank. I've never used it and it's already bent and rusted out, not even 2 years later. But, since you can't see fit to change the oil, I'm certain you aren't going to fix a poorly installed wiring harness either. didn't get the chance to discuss bc service advised they weren't going to do the oil change. End of discussion. But, ya... the oil change deal. Not a huge thing. Seems like you could have rolled with it being over 36k a couple hundred miles and not even 2 years old. But, whatever.... play it how you need to if it saves you a hundred bucks. Go find...
Read moreWith the inventory shortage, I couldnât find the vehicle I wanted at any of the Hyundai dealerships. I wasnât holding out much hope when I called Inver Grove but Martha answered and told me they had ONE that matched all my requirements! She greeted us when we arrived and was just as friendly as she was on the phone. Excellent customer service. If she didnât know the answer, she found someone that did. Super accommodating! I got the SUV I wanted and Martha even came in on her day off so sheâd be there when I picked up my car. Sheâs hilarious and down to earth and I really appreciated her fabulous service. Everyone was very friendly & accommodating! Seamless transaction, nobody was pushy. Highly recommend this dealership. Thank you!!
Update 3 years later: I was happy to get the car that I wanted but every other visit to this dealership in the subsequent 3 years of my lease was sub par. I went to the Hyundai dealership in Bloomington today for the first time and this visit sealed the deal. I didn't know how poor the service at Inver Grove Heights was until I went to Bloomington! The service staff was way more friendly and SO thorough! The service I experienced (getting routine oil changes, tire rotation) was bare bones at Inver Grove Heights. They give you a piece of paper at the end and show you the door to leave. At Bloomington, they greeted me and walked me to the lounge and made sure I knew exactly who to go to for any questions. I also got a text that I could use if I had questions. I received a video of my car and it went over each part of the service appointment (told me about the tread on my tires, front and back brakes etc). I found that to be very informative. I also received a copy of the receipt in my email (never rec'd that before in the entire 3 years). I will not go back to Inver Grove and regret not trying another...
