It is a shame that a local burger joint in a school neighborhood can give someone such a bad experience. After a grueling sports match, I wanted a juicy burger. Before I start about the food, I have to say that the service was disgraceful. I ordered online to be greeted with a free welcome item offer for recently joining the rewards program. The details of this are of course misleading. I cannot complain about what the terms should be, but they're easily misunderstood. It only says 'with minimum purchase,' but it of course applies the reward to the cheapest item in your bag. I ordered a famous star, and a 2 for $6 fish sandwich deal. It applied the offer to the 2 fish sandwiches. The rest of the online process was fine, and I payed for the famous star. When I went to pick it up, I told the employee my name and order. He aggressively responded that he does not have that order on his system. I told him that I see the order with my name on his computer in the back. The reason he must have been complaining was that the stupid system did not show the fish sandwiches because they weren't paid for (free reward). I showed him my name on my recent orders and pointed to the computer, but he did not look at his computer at all and still insisted that it didn't show. He also said "how do I know that this is your name." He looked at my phone after I explained (which was a struggle to put a word in without interruption) and then looked at his other computer, and without acknowledging his misunderstanding he said with an attitude that the fish would be ready in 5 mins (apparently he prepared the famous star already). I also asked him if he could keep the famous star under a warmer, because he had a burger sitting out on the counter. He responded aggressively once again, saying "this is not yours!" As I tried to say that I wanted him to do that with whatever burger would be mine, he continued to interrupt and repeat this. He said this as if I was supposed to read his mind. I had to wait 20 mins in total with the arguing and preparation, all to bite into a dry burger without any sauce, and my friend to complain that the fish smelled rotten. There was on top of that no side sauces that I had requested, and we had already left by that point. It is sad to say this about a great restaurant chain like Carl's Jr. They need to put better time into selecting their employees, which in this case was a manager. He did not even wear a name tag to be identified. Unacceptable, unfortunately...
Read moreI use this location since its near my hospitals. Two out of the three times I’ve ordered here by drive through, This store has gotten my orders wrong and charged me more for the incorrect item. The item I ordered was more premium than what was given to me (I ordered the steak breakfast burrito and got sausage. Steak burrito cost 6 dollars more as the sausage burrito was on a promotion) First time I passed it as a mistake, but when it happened again I come to realize that they are doing this intentionally due to laziness. The ingredients in the steak burritos have more init like diced potatoes and tomatoes versus the sausage one which only has cheese tortilla and egg. Also, this location also cheap out on giving you condiments such as ketchup and salsa. When you ask for them in your togo order, they give you One. To get more, you have to ask the associate aggressively and they generally have this cheap and annoyed attitude about it. My recommendation is to go to mcdonalds elsewhere where the food is at least consistent and corporate has more control over training of the services and...
Read moreThe service was mediocre to say the least....if you have multiple customers in line, don't just stand there and ignore them for a few minutes. Usually when you get called for your order to go they at least ask if you want any ketchup or sauce...nope. The food was terrible. Ordered a number 1 (famous star meal)...they put so much mayo and ketchup on the burger that the bun was mushy and falling apart before I even fully unwrapped the burger. They didn't even spread out the toppings. One spot had only onions, one spot had only tomatoes and one spot had only pickles. When they did call my order and I asked for ketchup, he gave me a handful...the only problem was the outside of the packets were covered in a syrup-like sticky substance. Home of the $6 burger....more like home of the mush patty. I know it's fast food, so I shouldn't expect much. But I was a paying customer. Regardless of what your job is, good customer service should be important. Won't be eating at Carl's...
