The Bagel Shack — Restaurant in Irvine

Ordered too good to go from here. It was listed under "meals" so I thought it would be more, but it was just bagels in a bag. They gave a variety & were good. But should list it under "bakery good" instead of meals. Bought a side of cream cheese, also good. The part that ruined it was the service. The girl at the register literally threw the bag on the counter, while on her phone, and said nothing to me. When ringing up the cream cheese, she continued on her phone. Not paying attention at all. It was quite rude. I even still said "thank you, have a nice day" when leaving, and again, she said nothing. Just kept messaging on her phone. For that reason, I'd rather buy...

This unfortunately won't be a good review. I was excited for this place to open, but I have not had a good experience trying it out. Far from good. The prices are extremely high. The Bengals are not great quality. I'd say tasteless. Staff don't seem to know what is going on. On the last visit I ordered a smoothie and received a room tempature fruit drink. After saying something to staff they seemed to not understand why the drink they gave me wasn't a smoothie. Hole in the wall with terrible organization. It always seems like no one knows what is going on behind the counter and it takes them forever to get your food out. The food is good, but I’ve had better bagels in the area. I only come here out of convenience to the area I live, but I wouldn’t drive more than 5 minutes to come here. The atmosphere gives off a lack of interest in caring and is the cheapest way to call it a place to eat....
