A Royal Moment was a random Google search find, but I’m so incredibly happy I found them! I made an appointment here and at another, let’s just say a very well known commercial bridal shop. I was certain I’d end up getting my dress at the commercial shop, but wanted to have that bridal experience with my friends and family. My appointment with A Royal Moment was first. Everyone was lovely and Darlyn (the owner) was so nice and accommodating. The woman who helped me is no longer there, but she was very helpful and made things stress free. I had an idea of the style of dress I wanted, but since I never tried on dresses we tried on a variety of styles. I found two dresses I loved. One I loved the whole dress but I really loved the bust/top of the 2nd one. I didn’t feel like I could make a decision yet, so we set aside the dress and went to my other appointment at the other store. We got there and it was VERY different. The second place didn’t put much time and effort into the appointment. I picked out the dresses and got little help/input from the woman helping. Granted they are two totally different stores, but the ambiance and how someone makes you feel shopping for your special day makes a HUGE difference! I think I tried on 2 or 3 dresses and by the third one, I stopped and told my family and friends, “I know what dress is MY dress and it’s not here.” We called A Royal Moment to see if we could come back and try on the dress again. We did and while I was there we even decided to combine the two dresses I loved! We took the top/bust of the 2nd dress and put it on the first dress. Everyone was so helpful and the fact that they let me customize my dress was great. Besides that, we also added a layer of sparkly tulle which really made the dress POP! My first bridal dress experience was great and I’m so happy I found A Royal Moment!
Since I customized my dress, I did have a few fittings and EVERY time my seamstress and Darlyn were so helpful. At my first appointment I also bought a necklace and earring set, but when I was getting ready for my first fitting I noticed we didn’t have the set. It was accidentally not included in the bag, but Darlyn was so nice and helped me find another set that I loved! We also had such a great experience that my mom took her dress there to be tailored.
At my final fitting, it was kind of bittersweet because I’d no longer get to see these amazing women anymore! I picked my amazing dress up and my jewelry and was ready for my big day! Unfortunately, it rained like crazy the week before and leading up to our wedding day, but luckily it stopped enough for us and the bridal party to take photos which was great! I may not have gotten the outside ceremony I had dreamed about on the lawn at our venue, but I had my dream dress and veil and the perfect jewelry thanks to A Royal Moment’s Darlyn and amazing team! Thank you, ladies for making my d special day A...
Read moreIf I could give this place a negative rating I would definitely do that . The location of the store has changed two time since we began looking at dresses at this store , the employee turn over is horrible, there are always new people working with no consistent person as the point of contact . Of course they let you try on as many dress as you would like, but the dress and material is very very low quality. I have shown my dress that was purchased there to a professional dress maker who has done fashion week and runway and she referred to the quality of the dress and lower than forever21 quality. The owner Darlyn was extremely hard to get ahold of once confronted with this complaint of low quality dress, she gave me a floor model which the dress was no longer white but a tan yellow color , it contain stains on the dress and the bust line was so expanded that it was stretched. She was not helpful after I pointed out the flaws in the dress she gave me . She then thought I was stupid enough to take her soiled and stained dress home with me , she disputed my claim that with my credit card company and thinks that giving me another used and sample dress of the right thing to do. When I tried to go back I found that there was other brides picking up there dress that was not satisfied with the dress the quality and the alterations being made to the dress . How can someone run a business like that for such a special time in one person life like that and be okay with it … the wedding is less than a month away and I have no dress because of this place . I have the worst wedding dress experiences ever , it has been a nightmare. The owner Darlyn has called and texted and harassed me to get another dress but a soiled stained , too large and poor quality dress is what I got the first time , why in the world would I dare get anything else from this horrible person who calls themselves a professional. Please do not consider looking at this place . It has caused so much stress and anxiety when this time in my life would be amazing . I wish I could tell you this is a fake post but this has been a nightmare of an experience. Please don’t be fooled by...
Read moreThis was my very first stop, first time, never been to a wedding dress boutique. I had an appointment 1/28/25 @1230 with 1 friend. I came in and I did not know what to expect from a wedding dress boutique. I don't recall the women's name, but she was not very enthusiastic to work there. I had told it this was my first time and I didn't know what to look for based on my body type. She asked what my budget was, and honestly, I never really placed a budget price, but from looking online and seeing some cost, I said $2000.
Instead of explaining to me how I should pick my dressed, she just told me to look around and pick a couple. I picked 3, but was not done looking, she suggested I go try it one. Everything felt rushed and an unpleasant experience. I wanted to take photos of each dress as I tried it one. Once I got to the third dress, it was a corset that required ties, and I had asked the employee if there was a clip to hold the dress up. She said what are you trying to do. I said take a photo. She said the back!!!! I said no the front. So I turned around, she tugged on the dress and shook me tight roughly. My friend even said to me she's kind of mean.
After I tried on the third dress, I had to get dressed to look at other dresses, which was quite annoying to put my own clothes back on to take the off again. I went into the section for ball gowns. Instead of letting me try any of them, she said oh no honey, these are priced $4-6000. My idea is, if a female ends up liking a dress she will buy it. But I guess not everyone thinks that way. I was super disappointed at my first wedding...
