This was my very first time eating at a Mediterranean restaurant, as well as my first time eating at this establishment. I had a good time, overall. You'll see from the selection of photos I included that they have a very wide range of food options. Their various options are vast enough that anyone can find food there and be satisfied.
For example, my friend, who took me there, is a Muslim and therefore he only eats Halal products. They were able to accommodate his dietary restrictions. Furthermore, they were even able to accommodate my dietary restriction! On the whole, I tend to steer clear of foods with a lot of dairy because I have a mild intolerance to it. But at this establishment, they were able to accommodate my needs as well as his.
Additionally, the men's restroom was pretty clean! Even though there were a few items strewn about, here and there, it was clean on the whole. It's why I gave them four stars instead of three stars. I thought that the staff were friendly enough and that everyone seemed to be attentive to my requests and/or needs.
My one main criticism was regarding the food, though. Since this is a review about a restaurant, it's necessary to mention a truth. That the Kebab meat, which was actually beef, turned out to be quite tough and chewy. When I initially was eating it, I told my friend that I thought it was lamb meat. However, he corrected me and said that it was beef! That's how I know the beef was either not a good selection of beef or that it was old and had been sitting too long. It was definitely not fresh and soft as one might have thought it would be.
Other than that, the restaurant had good food. I enjoyed the baklava! I feel like I may have eaten that dish a time in my life but could not recall exactly. The experience was positive enough that I'm confident I'll return there again in the future, when I'm...
Read moreDimassi’s Mediterranean Buffet is well-known for offering a diverse and authentic selection of Mediterranean dishes.
The lamb shank is a standout item, cooked to perfection with tender, flavorful meat that falls off the bone. It is well-seasoned and pairs wonderfully with their rice dishes. It’s often a favorite among diners for its authenticity and rich taste.
Dimassi’s offers a variety of fresh salads, including tabbouleh, fattoush, and Greek salad. The ingredients are crisp and well-prepared, with balanced dressings that enhance their Mediterranean flavors.
The Mandi rice is fragrant and beautifully spiced, often described as a highlight of the buffet. The texture is fluffy, and it complements the meats, especially the lamb shank, perfectly.
Their creamy baklava is a delightful way to end the meal. It While the portion size is small, the flavor is authentic and satisfying.
Dimassi’s tea is a refreshing accompaniment to the meal. The rose water is a unique addition to the buffet, adding a touch of elegance to the dining experience. And chocolate vanilla mixed cone ice cream is top notch. Best food in recent times
Overall Dimassi’s Mediterranean Buffet provides a welcoming atmosphere with a clean, spacious dining area. The variety and quality of food ensure there’s something for everyone, and the combination of traditional Mediterranean dishes with sweet treats like baklava and rose water offers a unique...
Read moreI went 2x with my husband. I won’t be going back. This is coming from someone that frequents Mediterranean restaurants country-wide.
Overall low quality food and experience. For $2 more you have better food and experience at Terra across the street. I feel I’m being generous with the 2 stars.
The ingredients used are subpar. The flavor is subpar. The first time the eggplant left me feeling sick. I wrote that off as my body not responding well to the oil. Second time the smell of mansef almost made me barf. Not to mention I can get better rice at a cheap fast food chain.
Definitely don’t go on a Friday because of Jumu’3a. Large groups of people flocked to the restaurant. Now that’s not a bad thing, if you don’t mind a rowdy environment. It was so loud and chaotic. I literally watched two kids run around for 15 mins straight, screaming barefoot while their family enjoyed the buffet. You don’t exactly expect the highest quality of experience in a Eastern buffet, but you at the least expect good food so u tolerate the noise. Not here because Ure not getting either. Of course the owners didn’t bother to course correct. Sent me the message that is an acceptable norm. Not to mention the old lady that played music on her cellphone, so I couldn’t even hear myself talk. So next time I’ll just...
