When it comes to good Filipino food, DFW unfortunately doesn't have much restaurant selection to pick from IMO. Inihaw Avenue is by far the best l've tried and found around. Definitely worth the drive to Irving for this authentic, family owned spot. You have to try the crispy pork sisig, definitely my fav dish! 📍 4835 N O'Connor Rd, Irving, TX 75062 #foodie #foodblogger #filipinofood #filipino #filipina #fyp#foryoupage

Went here for a late lunch, this is a hidden gem! It's small, not a complaint, their tables are spacious so I am happy they didn't sacrifice that for more dining space. They have a small convenience area that has some snacks like chips, sweets, noodles, & drinks that you can shop at too. There's also a freezer by the register where you can buy somethings like siapao, lumpia, & a few other things. I didn't really shop, they probably have more but I will next time. We had fresh lumpia, milk fish, pork skewers, sisig, & beef soup. Fresh lumpia - probably the only thing I didn't take a picture of. Deliciously made with egg crepe, tofu, & veggies. Milk fish - I didn't eat any, but everyone else liked it. Complimenting the slaw/salsa on top. Huge serving! Pork skewers - definitely get these, not too sweet on the sauce & perfectly cooked. Sisig - my favorite, love that sizzle when it came out. Egg was cooked just right so I was able to break it & mix it in. Other places I have found the eggs to be overdone. Beef soup - excellent with cabbage, green beans, beef, potatoes, I can't remember what else... I liked that this was not salty. Also, you MUST have their calamansi juice. It's super refreshing! Clean restrooms, nice staff. We waited a little bit for the food but you can tell it's because they made everything fresh. Cute decor of pictures on the wall. During our time there, one couple was leaving, one person came in to shop, & I think I saw someone do a pickup order. I hope they get a constant flow of business, it's not like it's in a busy shopping center or area with lots of restaurants where you'd find it if you were just looking for a place to eat. You'd have to have the intention of going here to come across this place. Go support them & enjoy some wonderful food!

EDIT : 2019 Review FIVE STARS!!! They say fine wine takes time to age and Inihaw Avenue Filipino Kitchen has become my favorite Filipino Restaurant in the DFW Area. The quality of service and care that goes into this restaurant has been excellent. I know wrote a tough Review and I'm happy that there has been a turn around. I definitely recommend this place for authentic, quality Filipino Cuisine and I will definitely return for seconds! ---- 2018 Review Inihaw Restaurant provides an authentic Filipino dining experience. Its hot, humid, and the wait is very long... too long! The food is okay, my Crispy Pork Belly was dry and hard. The location is very clean, especially the bathroom. Our hostess Trixie was very friendly and one of the other servers, Joseph was attentive in providing us with refills for our drinks. We came in together with a very large group and so we were able to Fellowship with others. However, the major negative was that we were served last even though we arrived and ordered ahead of six other tables. Our group was getting concerned and started coming to our table and sharing their food with us.... I know the restaurant just opened but the staff need more training but we are willing to try again in the future...

Decided to give it a try based on a cpl friends rec, boy did we make a mistake!! As soon as we pulled up I noticed a lot of folks waiting so I am like, this is a good thing cause its a great place OR something is wrong here cause the dining area was only half full? So we walked in and gave our name and was told it would be a good 30min, again I am a lil confused as with all the empty tables? So during our wait 2 parties just left after mumbling they have been waiting too long? 2 more parties from the dining area walked out cause they said they were sitting at their table for 30min and nobody came to take their order?? At this point I am a lil hesitant to keep waiting but I drove a good way and was already there? S we finally got seated and I noticed the ONE server/waitress was running around doing nothing but delivering food as fast as she could, no order taking just trying to get food out and she was wore out!! The gal who sat us came back to the table 10min later and took our order and said she was short staffed and it would take some time for the order and apologised at that time. 40min later our appetizer came out, this whole time I am just watching the folks seated around us and noticing that NOBODY is a happy camper due to the excessive wait times for their food!! We had some friend drop in and they too left after being seated and left for 35min with no attention, I just shook my head and wondered what was going on here and just said to my wife that this is the reason places go out of business and don't survive!! It's too bad because they do have a following and decent food, they just seem to have a major issue getting folks to show up to work and hiring folks to work??? The poor server was so flustered she started delivering orders to the wrong tables and was clearly frustrated herself, I really hope they get some help in there and survive, until I hear that there has been a change for the better we will not be back, nor will others I'm guessing by...

My husband and I tried this restaurant twice and I’m done. I crave Filipino food every now and then. So I was very excited when I found the restaurant.

Our first visit – the restaurant was clean; we were seated right away and got our drinks however, it took the waitress about 20 minutes to come back and take our food order and there weren’t too many people in the restaurant.

It took another 45 minutes for our food to be ready. By this time, I was “hangry” and needed to eat something so we stayed because, we knew they just opened up so I wanted to give them the benefit. I was disappointed because the food was just okay but I ate it because I was having a hunger head ache.

We should have known then that this restaurant was not worth the drive but wanted to give them another try.

The past week – 2nd visit. We were seated right away but this time, they didn’t ask us what we wanted to drink. About 20 minutes still no-one. Again, not too many people to warrant the slowness or disregard. There were 3 waiters/waitresses, plus the owner walking around to check on other people. I was just waiting to see if one of them would stop at our table but no one.

Two different couples walk-in, seated and they were asked what they wanted to drink. The waitress brought the drinks to one couple; the owner brought drinks to the other and they started to take their food order. That was the last straw; this was blatantly rude. My husband and I got up to walk-out and as we were walking out, the owner asked “did someone take your order?” What? If you look at were we were seated; you can see that there are NO drinks and the menu still on the table.

We will NEVER, EVER patronize this restaurant again. There are other Filipino restaurants with better service and better food...
