I pass by this location on my way to work every day for the last 18 years. I typically stop by this location for breakfast at least 4 times a month. There is a woman that has been working the drive through for several years and I have always had a pleasant interaction with her, even when I am given the wrong order, i just let it go. However, yesterday on Monday June 1, I ordered the same thing I normally order, which is the #24. She asked what I wanted for my drink and I said I wanted hot coffee. Then I asked to have mayonnaise added to my sandwich, which I always ask for mayonnaise. When I got to the window, she handed me a bag and took my $20 bill, the bag felt light so I looked in it and it was just the sandwich and not the hash brown that comes with the meal. I mentioned to the lady there was no hash brown and she got mad at me , rolled her eyes, and then started to talk about me in Spanish to her coworker, she was saying that I was crazy and stupid, all because she misunderstood and made a mistake. She gave me too much change back and I told her I want to pay for my full order and she wouldn’t allow me. She had only charged me for the sandwich. I asked her if she was just talking about me and she said “YES!” , she slammed the window. I wouldn’t even care about the misunderstanding, it was completely unexpected the way she behaved. She showed who she really was. All she had to do was apologize and correct the error. I know it won’t make a difference because I’m just one person, but I will never visit this location again. The fact that she immediately got mad at me for her mistake and then had the nerve to talk bad about me in front of my face. And to think it’s people like this that think they deserve to be paid more money? More money for providing horrible service? The name on the receipt could not have been her name because I believe it was a males name, I can only hope that this woman reflected on her behavior and realized she behaved badly for no reason at all. I literally the week prior was telling a coworker how nice this lady was, but clearly she was not showing her true colors until yesterday. Very...
Read moreBEWARE EATING AT THIS LOCATION I went to my local Jack in the Box last night and had a bad experience eating my Southwest chicken salad. I bit into something that felt like a rock that turned out to be a large whole hard kernel of corn that damaged my week old crown. I barley recovered from that when I started choking on something like a chicken bone that still is lodged in my throat, if that wasn't enough I bit into something again smaller but as hard as the corn kernel. I looked into the salad to see if there was anything else that could possibly be in there but I didn't see anything so I gave it one more shot and 2 bites in I bit into another what I thought was another small rock! I decided that was enough I started picking the salad apart one piece at a time and came up with 32 small glass or plastic beads or tiny clear balls along with the remaining hard corn kernel. From there it has been impossible to get anyone from Jack in the Box TO HELP or answer any of my concerns about these strange little balls, what they were, how they got into my salad or if they are a poison of some kind. I tried calling the store manager but she couldn't offer anything but another salad like I'm going to eat another terrorist salad right! Since I couldn't get any help from JITB I called the health dept. to solve the mystery of the tampered food. I think that this may have been an intentional act of sabotage that is the only thing that makes any sense. Next call is to the police, my dentist, doctor and my attorney to seek damages etc. DON'T ORDER ANY SALADS from the Jack IN THE BOX at 2952 N. Beltline Rd. in Irving, TX...
Read moreGood experience - nothing really different from other Jack's, and that's definitely not a bad thing. We've been to this one multiple times over the years and, if I recall correctly, we haven't had an issue they wouldn't fix.
My only issue is I had a little hard time understanding, but I think that was the speaker. While they've improved from years ago, outside speakers and microphones are only ever going to be only so good. This one could use some fixing, but the employees were great :)
I will say that, pulling away from the window, there are a few parking places. It feels a bit like they needed to work in smaller space than usual. The only way to go back to the store, barring parking, is to go all the way around and back into the shopping center, so if there's an issue with your order and you don't catch it fast enough...?
The food is great, the atmosphere, such as it is in drive thru, was good too. I start at 5 stars and go down from there, if it's deserving, unless I go inside the store. Then my approach changes and I work lower to higher. How can you judge otherwise, really?
The lane up to the drive thru feels a bit weird when you see that it pulls up normally to any store, but it's immediately next to an open parking lane. If there isn't any nearer parking, you'll need to bring a telescope, GPS, and enough rations to reach the door. ;)
Ramp accessibility is good, both on the front parking side and at the drive-thru line farther back. I think that location is a bit interesting, but it's accessing a side door so I'm not sure they really could've put it anywhere else.
Again, good...
