1st time visiting this place since my favorite local teriyaki place closed down. My twin accompanied me. The business itself looks nice, it's a build your own plate set up kind of like panda express only it looks like they were trying to be a classier version of it. So we had high hopes walking in. Unfortunately when it came to the food, I/ we were not impressed. To start, there was very little to choose from in my opinion. Even looking at the food something just looked.....off, but we didnt want to judge it right away since finding good teriyaki in this area is hard to find. We both ended up getting the white rice, broccoli, some yakisoba noodles, the regular chicken and paid extra for some steamed gyoza. The rice was probably the best part to be honest and even that was sub par......the broccoli was basically raw and smelled awful like steamed dirt....made me think it wasn't washed or something. The chicken was dry and bland, the sauce would've helped some but had to have been watered down or something because it tasted like there was barely any on it and I saw the server put at least one ladles worth on it.... the "yakisoba" noodles tasted like bad ramen noodles and the steamed gyoza was cold and soggy, not to mention they serve it with a cup of straight soy sauce not gyoza sauce like we thought...... disappointing all around and we will not be...
Read moreWe just recently discovered BB's. I was a little nervous at first because I'm a super picky eater. But I was very impressed with the whole experience. So much so that I came back within a week. So much good I don't even know where to start. For one they are open later then a lot of restaurant/ food places in Issaquah. The food is absolutely amazing! The service is above par. We ordered online and got to the location for pick up Luke 8-10 mins later and it was ready to go. The employees were sooo nice and just all seemed to be working super hard. I've worked in food service a lot myself and I know how hard it can be to deal with the general public sometimes... So kudos to the employees of Issaquah BB's for their hard work and kind, friendly, positive attitudes. I know this is getting long but furthermore they have large portions and the meal is like 12 dollars. This is a whole new way to do teriyaki and I am beyond impressed! I 10/10...
Read moreBang average, if not sub-par teriyaki. Apologies to the super friendly staff, but the food is not worth it. Positives: located in the Highlands, friendly staff, good restaurant interior, I like the three sides options, and the prices are relatively cheap. Downsides: the meat is not cooked fresh, it sits in a bath of water/liquid for who knows how long. I have had the chicken twice and it's sort of rubbery/dry. They also bathe everything in salt, after eating there I feel like I'm experiencing pulmonary thrombosis. The meat is the foundation of good teriyaki, it should be grilled fresh per order. Also, the gyoza are average, they sit in a steamer all day...
