Update; So after a couple years, I decide maybe this location has improved with (hopefully) new management. Ordered one sub and cinnamon bread for delivery. Email had estimated delivery in 40 minutes. I was charged but did not receive my order. After 2 hours I realized my food wasn't coming and ate a different meal. Now I must inconvenience myself again by calling the corporate number just to get my money back. So no, still the same old pathetic service. My bad for giving a benefit of the doubt, I should have stuck with my original plan to never use this location again (I love Donatos in general and other locations have been fine). Just avoid the Stringtown Rd shop, as management are on a multiple years long extended vacation.
Original response to the owner's reply: No. I won't contact you, return, or change my review - until a sign on the door says "under new management". Until then, this location earned a 1 star review so it stays. Also you wanted to reach out to me. That tells me you don't understand the problem. You need to be reaching out to the management at this place!
Original review: I try to be understanding and give a place a few chances. But with this location I've had 3 bad experiences, each time I've been here, in about a year. There are only so many excuses for poor service, which tells me this location has a serious...
Read moreI placed my order online last night at 6:42 p.m. and ask for delivery as soon as possible. The delivery time given was 8:13 p.m. which is crazy for a Tuesday evening. After waiting over an hour and a half I called to inquiry about the delivery and I was told my card was declined and that the manager called and left me a voicemail. I didn’t receive a call let alone a voicemail from them and I had more than enough money to cover an order of $26.67. They offered to run my card again because sometimes it declines online for no reason but I would have to wait another hour for the order. I told them this was unacceptable and spoke to the manager (who was absolutely worthless). She assured me that she called personally yet I didn’t have a missed call or voicemail. She refused to do anything to resolve the problem and at this point I was over it and told her I will contact corporate office. It seems logical to me that if the card was declined they would’ve cancelled the order and I should have received an email that it was cancelled. This is not the first problem I have had with this location using delivery or carryout they could definitely use a few lessons in...
Read moreI would give this location NEGATIVE 5 stars if I could. Usually when I read bad reviews I assume it's people who just want to complain & are being irrational. I wish I would have seen the other bad reviews before I ordered, believe every single one. Both pizzas we ordered were missing items. When we called to inform them of this they said they would "reprint the ticket" and get a new order to us. An hour later, my fiancé called & calmly asked to "check the status" of our order. The female employee told him she heard nothing of this & hung up on him. He called back twice & both times they picked up & hung up on him without saying anything.(Read this behavior in another review so seems to be a pattern.) I promptly called on my phone & since they didn't recognize the number they answered. Lynn, who claimed to be the manager when I asked made no attempts at customer service recovery & had the audacity to call my fiancé rude which he was not. A manager should have better manners & customer service skills. I would be embarrassed if I was the owner & had these rude people working for me. They are going to ruin the reputation of Donatos. I will never order...
