The location of this hotel was the only thing my family and i enjoyed. We live in a different state, and we were visiting a family friend for a week. We specifically choose hotels that can accommodate us with coffee/breakfast, pool, work out room, and a washer and dryer since we usually never pack a full weeks worth of clothes so we don't pack too much. Well, SAVE YOUR MONEY. Coffee? Non-existent; the machines had "out of order" on them the WHOLE time we were here. Their breakfast is shotty at best. Very little to choose from and anything you thought would be there, like fruit! Wasn't available until the 4th day we were here. The pool was closed the whole time we we were here. The washer and dryer were closed the whole time we were here. The weight room has missing weights, and some of the machines weren't working/broken pieces. Now to our room-we only needed a king bed since our toddler can sleep with us. We ended up with a handicap room on the second floor, which we thought was awesome at first, but then we started noticing things overnight and through the next few days. 1. Ac works just fine, but the humidity in the room is atrocious! We bought damp rid to help with moisture, and that still didn't help. My sons snacks were literally getting soggy. We could bend his chips... and when you sleep, you're SOAKED in sweat, and whatever else your body decides to do when the air is wet. my son is Autistic and rarely wears shoes. His feet were BLACK from the nasty carpet in the room. The tiles and hardwood would be sticky for some reason, so my husband and I rarely took our shoes off. Oh, and because it was so damp in our room, the room had a smell like mildew. Lastly, the black out curtains weren't black out. We had light coming in, and it was annoying because at home, my room is completely blacked out at any time of the day, so my son will sleep. As im writing this review, the hotel charged our card for an extra $112, saying that we "had a balance." I called a few days before we were supposed to get there for our reservation because we ended up having someone pass away, and we needed to cut our reservations down ONE day. The manager was whom I spoke to, and she said that I wasn't going to get charged and everything was dealt with. On our way to Wisconsin for the funeral and we got charged anyway.
All in all, save your trouble. If you're going to have to go out and pay for coffee and breakfast; has no pool open , no washer and dryer open; save your few dollars and go to a different place so you can spend your money on coffee anyway.
And if you're wheelchair bound. Don't go to this hotel. We're able-bodied, and these were our complaints. It makes me sad that people who need the room are not getting a clean, functional room. If the wheels are what's making the carpet gross, then the hotel needs to invest in some floor remodeling and make it all one texture for easier cleaning.
Update: it's been three days, and we still don't have a refund
Update 2: we finally got refunded our money after my husband called and had to explain everything, again. I don't know who was working around 6a on 8/4/23, but her customer service was not it. She was rude to me on the phone and said she'd call me back after i attempted to explain why i shouldn't be charged. I never received a call back and instead got an email stating "why I got charged." I would like it noted that the lady that I spoke to that morning stated they were having software problems (fine. My husband is a software engineer, we get). But when I tried to tell her our issue she juat kept saying, "I have to close to the open balance" and though I explained why I shouldn't be getting charged, she then admitted she didn't read the notes on my account (and that's when I got more annoyed as my job before being a mom, was a property manager... you always read the notes before charging your customers more money). Anyway. My review still stands. I wouldn't go here nor recommend...

Overall, the room was dirty. Looked as if not cleaned, swept and dusted for months. Stains and marks on the walls, ceiling and floor, there are damaged drywall areas.
Shower curtain was good in that it has coverage preventing the floor getting wet during showers but it is stained and very unclean.
Room was a two queen mattress type. Why are there only two bath towels and one floor covering towel? Should be at least three times this amount so I don't have to go to the front desk and ask for clean towels. I had previously booked/scheduled a three nights stay- asking for towels shouldn't be necessary.
Why is there nowhere to hang used towels to dry except for the shower curtain rod?
The entry door to the room required some force to open as it would get stuck every time.
The toilet in the room is in enormous need of maintenance. Have to hold the handle for 15+ seconds for a flush to complete. Then, it will continuously keep refilling unless the handle is used to get the flapper right position to reset. TERRIBLE!
There is a lamp on the desk table. Both electrical outlets on it are so worn out that any plug connected does not stay plugged in. This is bad and also dangerous.
The shower drain backs up quite a bit. Water is approaching the lower portion of my ankles while trying to complete a typical normal length shower. I complained to the person at the front desk in the morning of Sep 03. He said that would be taken care of it. Nothing was done! Each subsequent shower resulted in standing in a pool of used water while taking a shower.
The microwave is connected to power via a power strip and cord brought around the front of the furniture. Is this this right way to do it?
The threaded tops of all of the lamps in the room have all been removed. Why?
I have to provide an expense report for my job and I need to give printed paper receipts for every charge. When trying to check out I had to track down an employee that could contact someone who was able to get me a printed receipt. His mannerisms and responses were that as if I was an affront and an interruption of his morning. Why isn't there someone at the front desk during typical checkout times to bid farewell to guests?
I took pictures with my phone to back up some of the items I've mentioned if you're interested. Don't you people do a walkthrough of rooms and talk with managers? Problems like this should have been identified and corrected before renting out rooms to people. Why am I saying all this? For one you asked and second front desk people have told me "we don't stay in the rooms" so you therefore won't know there are problems unless a guest speaks up. ...
Read moreIf I could leave a zero star I would. This was probably the worst hotel I've ever stayed at a combination of lazy staff staff. You can't even find for two hours and drugs and paraphernalia being found in my room where my kid could've easily touched it or me or anyone in my family and overdose or died, the hotel refused to give a refund after only being in the room for about an hour nothing in the room was touched immediately. After finding the drugs we tried to let the front desk know called several times with no answer to the front desk went down to the front desk. The lady was never there. There was even people in line waiting to check in with no one at the front desk. Finally, we found the lady and she came up to the room and seen the drugs and paraphernalia herself and said oh well that's normal. You can just check out if you don't like it. That was very appalling considering we just paid for a room and all she's telling us to do is check out with no refund and the drugs seemed like not an issue to her. It was a prepaid reservation in the website that I used is called super do not use them either. They wouldn't refund until the hotel would approve the refund which days later they still haven't it left me my wife and my kids sleeping in our car for the night. This was beyond pathetic and horrible. I wasn't offered a new room and I wasn't given a refund. I was told I can check out if I don't like it. That's all all time lol to tell me if I don't like drugs around my kids, I could just leave. Also we couldn't buy from the vending area unless we had cash because she did not want to run a credit card because she said she has had a bad day and didn't feel like it. I would recommend staying somewhere different somewhere like next-door comfort suites they are way better. I wish I would have...
