Family and I went last Saturday for the first time. A little hole in the wall, but actually spacious inside, casual & clean environment, not busy at all 1pm on a Sunday. Their was only 1 woman running the tables, food and bar, but she was great! They have a simple front/back menu showcasing specialty organic, fresh made margaritas, beer, and mixed drinks. The original and pineapple margaritas on the rocks were delicious and very strong, lol! Menu consist of chicken, steak, birria, veggie, and carnitas, I believe, for street style tacos, birria bowls, taco bowls, and Tortas (taco ingredients on a sandwhich). Delicious and fresh guacamole, white queso, and outstanding red salsa with just the right kick. Chips were great and not greasy or overcooked. The only thing is I wish their rice had some seasoning or something to it, as it's just plain, unseasoned rice, but honestly, that's it. I highly recommend that if you get the taco bowl, to try out 1 of the 3 homemade sauces they have. Really made the taco bowl better! The 4 of us we pretty much ordered the whole menu with how small it was, and everyone cleared their plate!...
Read moreLet me just say, I have been living in Austin Texas the past few years and some of the best tacos ive ever had have been in San Antonio or street vendors in south texas. The tacos, salsa, frijoles charros and even the margaritas they have at Tacos and Beer are easily the best tacos and margs I have ever had outside of texas. Plus they're double the size of typical street tacos you'll find there and for half the price! I was absolutely blown away by not only the flavors but the pricing and atmosphere here. If you want authentic tacos, you will not find anything better than this outside of south texas! Simply the best tacos and margaritas in...
Read moreThis place was an excellent surprise. Few of us stopped in Sat, right when they opened at 11am. The service was excellent, food was delicious and spotless inside. Great vibe and decor. Beer selection a bit lacking for a place w beer in their name. The food was authentic, they also had nice dessert case w some to go items. I had a birria bowl, another guy had birria tacos and another had a pastor bowl. We also did some chips and guac. Chips were warm and fresh and the guacamole was tasty. Just a small serving for the price. Oh, some good in-house sauces as well. I'd go...
