Once Upon A Child Grove City — Local services in Jackson Township

This place needs a class on professionalism. My daughter brought in a bag of girl baby clothes, and 2 big items, Hoping to get some change in return. From the moment she walked in the young girls working there made her feel unwanted and rushed. She donated the items and was told It would take 48 hours to process the exchange. She was never told that big items only take 24 hours And if you did not show up the next day , you're items would be donated to the cancer society?? That's cap! They decided not to take the bag of clothes which I do not understand why not. When there were literally for or five outfits never worn and still tagged. There was a couple that came in Monday with my daughter and dropped off items and they were there again today to pick their money up, seems like they were paid with no problems. But my daughter's wasn't processed at all and It was donated??? Smh bias maybe? I'm thinking a little from the way they treated her in the way they talked to me when I asked for a manager. I had took a bunch of my clothes down, size 10-12. No stains, actual brand clothes. They made us wait 5 hours just to say they cant take them because they have "Smoke odor and stains." Now lets keep in mind the fact that NO ONE in my household smokes. I have heard a bunch of people complaning about Once Upon A Child saying stuff like this and I think they just dont want to look through the clothes. This is the 2nd-3rd time I have tried to take clothes in and they have the same reason they cant take them every single time. They say they are in need of childrens summer clothes but then reject a bunch of shorts and short sleeve shirts? I also had good condition Jordans in there aswell and guess what.. THEY DIDNT TAKE THEM!! I also could see they didnt even look at all the clothes in the box because they were in the same exact order I folded them in. It looks like they only looked at 2-3 shirts from the top and then stopped. The employees are also VERY rude, took them around 10 minutes just to get to us at the register. Terrible. I have brought in things they were asking for only for them to try to rip me off. I took in a convertible pack and play, it was a bassinet if you wanted or could be converted into just a regular play pen, it also had a vibrating setting that went under the mattress to help sooth a child to sleep, it had a night light and sound maker. The item also had a diaper changer that is optional to have attached with diaper and wipes holder. This was almost 400.00 dollars when i bought it. I used it TWICE!! i still had original box and the graco travel bag it came with to pick up and go. they offered me thirty dollars. I asked them what they would sell it in store for and she said 65.00. The girl was getting caught in a lie because when i dropped it off I asked the manager how much they give for the larger items and she said they sell it for 50% of the price they get from researching it and then give me 50% off the floor price.
