I went there for the first time today. I had the enchiladas, 1 pork, 1 beef and 1 cheese. It came with rice and shredded lettuce with guacamole and sour cream. Since I prefer Tex-Mex, I asked if they could make my red sauce hot and they did. It was very good. The salsa was a little different. It tasted like they used smoked paprika in it but I was pleasantly surprised. I liked it! If there was anything I'd change, it would be the chips. The chips tasted like they were chips you would buy at a grocery store, not home made. Since I moved from Texas to Canton, I think I've tried about every Mexican place around hoping to find something close to Tex-Mex. This is about as close to Tex-Mex as I've come in Canton at least with the one meal I had. I'll be back to try the others.
The restaurant itself is really cute and very clean. The service was very good as well but I went at an off-hour.
Second time I went: I had the beef fajitas. Not impressed. First, the beef is tiny slivers of meat lost in mounds of green and red peppers and onions and I mean mounds. It was more vegetarian. It had a very bland taste and needed the taste of mesquite which I remedied when I brought home what I didn't eat. I heated the leftover meat with some Colgin mesquite liquid smoke. Colgin is made in Texas and they know what mesquite is suppose to taste like. That made all the difference. It was very good after I did that but the meat needs to be at least an inch wide, not 1/4 inch wide. I'll be still going back because I want to try their other dishes. The enchiladas I had the last time...
Read moreMy date and I made a special trip to North Canton just to try this restaurant after reading a review featuring a photo of a "Wet Burrito." Pictures are definitely worth a million words. But just because a picture might look great doesn't mean it will taste great either. But in this case, I thought the taste of the food lived up to that of the reviewer. When we arrived at the restaurant, we were quickly seated, given chips, salsa and Slaw. The salsa was quite piquante, but good. Never had Slaw presented with my chips before, but it was good as well. I had the Wet Burrito. You have your choice of protein. My server recommended the marinated beef, which i would liken to pot roast. Next time, I'll try it with the steak or chicken. My date had a regular 12" Burrito with Pork. She said it was spicy, which means mild to me. But she also said it was good. If it wasn't for the fact I hadn't ate till dinnertime I probably would have had to box half of that humongous Burrito up like my date did. A chilled Modelo helped make my dinner that much better. Well worth a trip to try it out. I'll definitely be...
Read moreTalk about so disappointed! After seeing a 4.4 rating, my neighbor and I went here for lunch to eat. Their margaritas are good my friend had the strawberry, and I jalapeno and cilantro, very good hence the 2 stars. The food was very bland, very bland. I had the Flautas, no taste..none I had to put their creamy red sauce on it to have some taste. My friend had the chimichangans, she asked for ground beef, got shredded.beef instead. She said oh well started to eat and gaged on the last bite of the first one. She opened the second one and pulled a hunk of fat, straight fat the size of a walnut out. She sent it back They brought her something else but a couple bites in she was like I'm done.when we got the bill it took them a whole 15 mins to come get the check!!! Then we argued asking to be compensated for the horrible experience my friend had, and the fact she hardly got to eat they took a drink off. We won't be back...unless it for the margaritas. An even then their are other places for those in...
