Extremely disappointed! Today is my birthday. This was the treat I chose and was looking forward to. I ordered online. Pickup was at 6:06. I figured it was going to be busy. Willing to wait a bit if need be. I arrived and received the text that the food was not ready. As I sat and waited to receive the next text, four other "To Go" cars came and left with their orders. I decided after waiting a half hour to go check on my order. The young lady said my food was almost ready. She apologized for the delay but they were waiting on bread. You could see my order sitting in a bag on the back counter. I was hoping it had not been sitting there a half hour, that would mean our food was getting cold. I went back and waited in the. Another 20 minutes passed before I got the text that my order was ready. When I went to the window, another young lady shared with she was so sorry about, my almost an hour wait. She made it seems as if it was my fault. She shared that when I placed my order it was during shift change. So my order must have gotten misplaced/forgotten about? She just wasn't sure. She was just sorry. I got to the car and started to head home. I pulled over to check the food, I had a feeling it wàs not even close to being warm. I was wrong, it was pee warm. The blooming onion was soggy and wet, basically gross. The broccoli was luke warm. The baked potatoes and chicken, wrapped in tin foil, were not warm at all. I had to go home and try to reheat our $83.00 meal. Never again will we order there. We have loved going to Texas Roadhouse. The establishment on Dressler Road, has greatly declined over the past couple of years. I am not sure it management has changed - but it is nothing like it use to be. When you do carry-out, you know your food is not going to be piping hot when you get warm. But we have always arrived home with the food looking and tasting excellent. And the temperature of the food was always what we expected. This was just gross. It is unacceptable and disappointing that those working there don't take greater pride in their business and customers. We understand there are times you are going to times you have to wait for your food. But when the establishment makes the error - and they know they did - it is sad that they have no pride in their product and still hand you food that has been sitting on the counter for over 20 plus minutes. I would suggest you never order during shift change. It will it end up...
Read moreI don't always expect my steak to be cooked perfect, but when it is way off, I do expect they will do something about it. I like mine med rare and so does my husband. So our steaks were delivered and they asked us to cut into them. I'm not sure why, because when mine was very overcooked, she reminded me how long it took to get the steak and thought I should just deal with it. Now if you have a good cook and a good steak, sometimes I will be ok with eating a med well steak and not think it's overly dry. But in this circumstance that was not the case. My husband got the filet medallions and cut into one that was done right so the waitress left only for us to find out the others were well done! That was very disappointing, but my reason for this bad review is what happened next. They had a Valentine's day sign that shortly after fell and hit me in the face/head. It also touched my food and cup. So I'm starving because it took our food forever to get there, now I can't eat it, I also have nothing to drink, and my head hurts. My husband asks for a manager who comes to the table and is so rude. He acts annoyed with us, doesn't care how anything is/how I am, says he'll comp the food which we didn't even ask for. So he comps my steak and we still paid a bunch of money for food that was cooked wrong and a night that was ruined. This was our 2nd bad experience here in a row, so I doubt we'll be going back. It's quite annoying that now that things are back to normal they still have no seating area inside the restaurant because they "need" it for to go orders. It was a very cold winter day and what if I didn't have a car to wait in, I would just have to wait outside? Either way, standing for an hour and a half. So I took a pic of the empty to go area. The restaurant was very cold where we were seated on the front part of the restaurant I believe. And that machine they make you pay on now that doesn't give you many options for tipping, I selected a percent of our check after the discount but it gave her that percent of the check pre discount, so I tipped a whole lot more than...
