So disappointed with the service. We were so excited to finally have a Popeyes in Grove City. Unfortunately, our experiences have not been good. First time we visited was the week they opened. There was a long line and service was slow. But we waited. The portions were way off on our food. Containers were only partially filled and the chicken strips were the smallest strips I’ve ever seen. Second visit, not any better than the first. Third visit, we sat in line for at least 30 minutes only to be told when we got up to the kiosk to order that their card reader was down and they were only accepting cash. Then on the fourth visit, there was only car in line, so we decided to give it one more try. We sat at the kiosk for several minutes before someone asked us to wait a minute. Ten minutes pass and I’m saying “Hello, anyone there?” Five more minutes, “Hello....” and I wait yet another 5 minutes. A female voice comes over the intercom to inform us that their system is down and they aren’t able to take our order. I asked the young lady why someone didn’t tell us that 20 minutes ago and she said they couldn’t tell us because the system was down. To which I asked, “Well, why didn’t you come outside and tell us what was going on instead of leaving us to wait for so long.” The female voice said, “Because that is too far to walk.” Really? We will not give this restaurant another chance. Too much to ask for them to actually provide good...
Read moreDespite having good food the experience is not worth your time. We've been to this location several times and each time it gets worse.
On the latest venture to this location we were asked how long we were going to take to decide in the drive thru lane. When we completed our order, we're told our food was going to be a wait - ok, that's fine I'll wait for fresh food. Then, when pulling up to the drive thru we clearly hear someone on staff say they needed their smoke break. Understandable to take your break, but what I'm not ok with is waiting additional time to get my food. It took us 20+ minutes to get all our food plus having to back up to the window after being told to pull forward. When were then told that the order was lost. We could have gone to a different location and been back home before we got our food at this location. In the end the food was good, hot and fresh, but the experience still isn't worth my time or money.
The only redeeming aspect was one employee who handed us the food and drinks. He was prompt and courteous and apologized for the wait.
If you really want Popeyes, take the extra time to try a different location. This...
Read moreI was born in Louisiana and I have eaten at Popeyes since I was a kid. First off, I will say that the food was delicious, but their prices are outrageous! They are More expensive than any other Popeyes I have ever been to In my life. Second, They gave me Mac and cheese instead of the mashed potatoes that I ordered, which I didn’t even realize until I was all the way home. Third, I paid with a $100 bill on a $10 order and they tried to give me back $60 in change.....when I told her that she shorted me and my change was supposed to be $90 she gave me another $20 bill....I told her again that it was still short because my change should be $90 and now I only had $80. She said that she typed it in wrong and proceeded to give me the last $10 until I finally had the right Amount of change. but I mean come on..Is it that hard to figure out $100-$10 does not equal $60....or even $80 for that matter. I have been very excited to get a Popeyes in Grove City, but based off of my first experience there, the over priced menu, and the already annoying amount of time it took them to open, I am Sad to say That I will not...
