Cheddar's Scratch Kitchen — Restaurant in Jackson

Ok I saw some reviews about this place being bad however I have eaten at another Cheddars and it was good also Kyle Busch drove the Cheddar's car today. I go up there sometime after 1800 hrs and there are people waiting, they tell me the wait is around 45 minutes. I look around and there are tables and booths empty and say something. The rude girl upfront says they don't have enough servers. You have money coming in the door and you are going to make them wait. I saw $500 to $1000 walk out the door because of not seating people. Poor management. I'm sitting there waiting and then a group come in and the girl tells them the same thing then 5 minutes later she takes them to a table. Next a couple comes in and she tells them the same thing then a few minutes later they get seated. Now I go and ask for the manager and tell him these people came in after me and got seated. The girl told the manager they were outside waiting, I told him she was lying because she gave them the same thing as she told me and then they got a table. Well right after that I got a table. Well I order the grilled salmon and sides. Well the sides were good however the salmon was over cooked. It should almost fall apart, this stuck together. Don't know if I will go back. Cheddar's sends me a $50.00 gift card. It's sad around.I never even thought about it. Finally I remember about the card a go there to eat. October 31, 2024. I get there at 3:15 PM.Waitress doesn't show up until three thirty p m. I ordered the blackened salmon with steam broccoli and a salad for my second item. It takes another fifteen minutes for the salad to come out. The salad. Has no flavor whatsoever. Finally, the milk comes out. The salmon has no flavor doesn't even look like they've used any seasoning on it. The broccoli is almost like mush like it's been cooked in a microwave. I send it back to have them redo everything. It comes back out again.The broccoli still looks horrible and the salmon is over cooked. I go ahead and eat it. Next comes to bill. Over $38.00, i showed the waitress how much the meal should be on the menu, only $14.00. So my Diet Coke was another $14.00. SO PLEASE DO YOURSELF A FAVOR DO NOT GO TO CHEDDARS. THEIR FOOD IS HORRIBLE AND THEY CAN'T GET THE PRICE ON THE BILL RIGHT. I used to eat at Cheddars in Longview, Tx many times and it was great. I saw the reviews about this place and thought it can't be that bad. That was until I tried it.Please do yourself a favor do not go here. If you do go here after reading this I told you so. You got nobody to blame...

My whole working life was spent in restaurant management so I very RARELY complain about restaurant experiences in person, much less on here but tonight was just....wow. Now it is father's day so we already knew there would be a wait to get in. 40 minutes actually. We're seated and wait maybe 7 or 8 minutes for our waitress to come take our drink order. We both ordered just water. She brings them back pretty quickly so no complaint there. We knew what we wanted so she took our appetizer and food order at the same time. Coconut shrimp for the appetizer. My husband ordered a steak, baked potato, and red beans and rice. I ordered a half rack of ribs, mashed potatoes and gravy, and honey carrots. Nothing specially made and no special requests. A good little bit goes by and my husband notices croissants being advertised on the table top kiosk so he adds them to our order. AN HOUR LATER the food finally comes out and it's like warm at best, and no croissants!! We ask her about them and also ask for some silverware, as we didn't get that either. so she says she's going to go get them. A good ten minutes later she finally brings the silverware but no croissants. She dropped the cutlery and was gone so fast we didn't get a chance to ask about the bread. We're finishing up our meal by the time she actually comes back by. I remind her again about the croissants and again she says she's going to get them. 10 minutes later she comes by to ask if we need a box. Idk for what because we both finished all of our food. Even though we're beyond aggravated we politely say no, tell her we never received those croissants and that we wanted the check. She comes back 10 minutes later holding a to go box, offering it to us. We again ask for the check and ask her to take the croissants off of it since we didn't receive them. She says to me "you should have asked me for them." I remind her that I did. I couldn't believe she said that. Finally 15 or so minutes later she drops the check on the table, not even stopping as she walks by. Nothing about this experience was ok. The entire thing was unacceptable. This was a disgusting experience we had! She said do you want to booth or table we said booth and there was several right in front of us but she placed Us in the sunken spot where it was only tables. And my husband both ordered this 6-oz steak, after a pretty long wait we got our steaks I ordered my with pink on the inside, he already had his well done, what we got was his was well done and mine was well done and really tough I could not eat it no matter how small I cut the pieces! When the waitress came back we inquired about the booths over there and she said there's no waitress over there, but I saw one we both did and the waitress was serving people at booths! Was just in that center tables area! Anyhow when she asked if everything was okay I told her my steak was well done and I needed it pink in the middle, medium rare, she said no problem I can fix that I'll be right back, about 20 more minutes she came back with a steak still tough but edible. When we got our bill I had noticed that that waitress had got herself a plate and she was chewing on food EATING MY RETURNED STEAK FOR FREE, BUT SHE STILL CHARGED US FOR IT !!!

She was waiting on people. & and sort of us, when she had time to get her breath!! And then I realized I paid for all three stakes!!! she ate The well done steak that I sent back! I did not think you had to pay for a steak that was not cooked as you ordered it!!! I was so disgusted when I realized I paid for the BAD waitresses meal too! We were so so upset! This was disgusting and it was not called for it all she was very rude and she lied and was deceitful incredible how people get work when they're like that I guess nobody says anything about that person or maybe they did not realized that they paid for that third steak or that third entree! Terrible experience!!! Sorry waitress just a sorry sorry waitress!!! And still the food was tough!!!! Never going back!!
