Gigi's Cupcakes of Jackson — Restaurant in Jackson

I use to come to gigi's with my mom as a little girl. But the one in my home town closed. So now that I've moved and had my own daughter, I wanted to take her. I was very excited and so was my daughter, but for some reason she started crying when we came in. I wanted her to pick her Cupcake but she kept crying, so I decided I was just gonna chose for her. The lady up front didn't have a welcoming attitude and she seemed..annoyed with my daughter crying... that's just what I got from it. Not sure if that was her intention or not. She was helpful with letting me know what cupcakes where filled, and which ones weren't when i asked. My daughter did end up calming down and chosing her Cupcake. Which was the birthday cake one. It looked very tasty... now on to why I gave the food portion 2 stars. The icing tasted very, store bought. Not homemade.. not sure what kind of powder sugar or mixing to create the icing.. it was just off, in a bad way. I dont think it's changed from since I was a little girl,but I think now that I'm grown and not a child, everything doesn't taste good because it looks good. The cake however was VERY soft. I loved the cake portion. The icing to cake ratio was great, it's just the icing that was not good, which negatively affects my review (and the atmosphere that was given). Last weekend I came to Jackson with my mom, mother in law, and daughter. We decided on Gigis for a sweet treat. When we walked in the door someone from the back yelled they would be with us in a minute, ok no big deal, but not the best customer service. While we looked at the menu we let another customer go ahead of us, the person helping was very short and rude while helping that customer and while my mother in law asked the difference between two flavors the other customer ordered. (this was our first time here) My mother in law asked the person helping her what her favorite flavor was, and very rudely was told strawberry as hateful as they could say it. As we could tell this person was in a very obvious bad mood, my mother in law asked her how her day was going trying to lighten the mood- this person responded by being visibly agitated, rubbed her face, and responded “what do you need” to the question as rudely as they could. I finally stood up and said we didn’t want anything from someone who was being as rude as they were. They were then suddenly take a back that someone else finally had a attitude with them, even though they were blatantly disrespectful towards my mother in law. Finally another person comes from the back and states they are the manager and we let them know how awful the employee is, and get an “im sorry”. We left without purchasing anything, and will not...

These are the most rudest people I have ever dealt with! I wish there was a button for NO STARS INSTEAD OF 1. I ordered cupcakes online & you get there they have NOTHING that was advertised online and they make you wait for a refund back that takes 7days, but TAKE your MONEY right away knowing that they don't have the PRODUCT. Also, this is the 2nd time this has happened. They bank on you just accepting whatever STALE CUPCAKE they have on-site for a HIGH price. DO NOT COME HERE IF YOU HAVE ANY TINT OF PIGMENT. THEY WILL TELL YOU BASICALLY OH WELL AND ACT AS IF YOU SHOULDN'T HAVE COME THERE ANYWAY. THE OWNER CAME AND LOOKED AT MY ORDER & SHRUGGED SHOULDERS/ SAID WELL AND WALKED OFF. NO APOLOGY OR ANYTHING.
