I ate at McAllister's Deli for the first time as they are New to Jackson Michigan & I had the New Yorker, as I am a Native New Yorker from Brooklyn & nothing in New York is even close to being that crappy tasting. a salty chemical taste base, long 15 minute plus wait at the table after waiting over 5 minutes in line for crappy service at the register, way over priced $38 & change for nasty tasting sandwich that had a chemical & really salty taste ( the overly salty taste is probably to try to cover up some of the chemical taste, in which you can still taste the chemicals) I literally had to run home from the McAllister's dump dive immediately as it gave me severe diarrhea on top of a splitting headache, a side salad with a tiny cup of dressing that wasn't enoughto even get a taste & an oversized baked potato or as they say a spud & two soft drinks gotta say the Coca Cola was probably the healthiest part of the meal as the salt and chemical content gave me a splitting headache & diarrhea. Plus they have a useless waitress service for tips, another $2 out the window, I usually tip 20%. Truthfully Arby's has a better sandwich for a way better price with much quicker service, but next time I'm craving a good sandwich I'm heading to Jimmy John's as they have great sandwiches for a better price with no tip required & they are freaky fast too. McAllister's your food is NO good.

Read more1st time ordering from this restaurant. Must say i was excited after looking at the menu and all the large good looking sandwiches and drinks! We did a phone order and picked up at the drive thru window. Went home and opened up the bag and couldn't believe our eyes. I assumed the sandwiches we ordered would be 6 inches long since you could either get a 12 inch or a half. We measured what we received and they were only 4 1/2 inches long? They were so tiny they look like a snack. Not only that but the picture shows this big thick loaded with meat and other items sandwich. Ours didn't look nothing like the menu picture. The pickle was about as big around as my finger. literally 3 to 4 bites and the sandwich was gone. We were starving a 1/2 later. All for $15.00! Only thing good about it was the ice tea. At least it had some size to it and tasted good. Although get ready to fork out over $4.00 for it. I don't think this place will be busy long if you don't get your moneys worth for what you pay. Not in Jackson. Service was good at the window and can't say much for dinning in. Subway or Jimmy johns is still a much better value. At least you get a 6 inch or 9 inch sandwich as advertised and...
Read moreI took my Mom and Son there for lunch and the experience was amazing from beginning to end! All the staff was nice and professional! The manager came and staff approached us numerous times to make sure we were okay. They food was amazing and delicious! And the portions are huge. The price is very reasonable for the family and they sell everything from soup and sandwiches to nachos or the biggest baked potato in the world lol. I pay attention to people and I loved how other customers were all raving about how good the food and hospitality was. I definitely recommend EVERYONE to stop by and try Jackson's Newest sandwich shop! I promise you won't be...
