FOOD NOT WORTH THE HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE😔 And I’m a nice customer 😒😭 I’ve been going to Panera for as long as I can remember. They can be a bit expensive compared to Subway and other fast “healthier” sandwich restaurants. Regardless the food is quality and I enjoy it so I’ll gladly pay more to eat there.
A few months back I ordered to go for my best friend, her daughter and myself because I was taking her to Metro Detroit airport. (Jackson Mi store) I ordered inside the Jackson Panera. We waited about 15 min and when the food was done I grabbed it from the expo, who happened to be the manager.
I started to open the bag to check the food and add napkins and plastic ware as we had to eat in the car. As I opened it the expo/manager was very adamant and pushy and explained that everything was there and gave me the get the hell outta here tone. I wasn’t trying to argue so I smiled said thank you and we left. I picked up my friend and we left for the airport. As we opened the food, we realized that both soups were wrong. One sandwich was wrong and the other soup and sandwich were completely missing.
I called the Panera right away and spoke w the manager. The manager was very nice and apologetic, took my information and explained that they would send me something to make up for the mistake and inconvenience.
About a MONTH or later, I received thru the mail, an EXPIRED gift certificate (2018) it’s 2019, that was ripped in half Lol The gift certificate was for (1) buy one get one pick 2 meals. 😂 I even tried to use it and they pretty much laughed at me and said NO I couldn’t use it. Lol
This is ridiculous and such a waste of time.
I’m a good customer and was raised in the restaurant industry, so I’m super laid back and understanding when it comes to being a guest in a restaurant, I always tip and say thank you!!!
I actually went to another Panera in Ann Arbor (where I’m from) yesterday but I’m done w Panera forever since my order was again wrong and Panera obviously doesn’t care about its customers or lacks in training their staff cause when I mentioned my order was wrong a girl in the kitchen line part started freaking out about the expo being a push over and I needed to pay for my extra chipotle mayo lol I’d have gladly paid double for the mayo. But to sit and mock a customer that can obviously see you and hear you and then walk away yelling is ridiculous and beyond rude. I’m pretty upset at the whole situation since I pride myself on being kind and understanding to ALL.
Check your orders and expect to be treated like a number! I won’t be going to Panera Bread anymore and I’m sad about it cause I love their food and so do my...

I didn't get her name and I hate to identify her this way, but she's the youngish bigger girl who works the register on mornings (the other register person is a small, older woman). I've been in three times before where she snapped at customers. I wasn't listening in on the entire interactions so I brushed them off as rude customers at a time when rude customers are becoming more frequent.
I was literally just standing in line this morning waiting to order in person just for a pastry and coffee so that I didn't have to wait until the understaffed folks behind the counter had a chance to get to my simple order when this lady just started being snappy at me and everyone else in the line about using the self-serve kiosks. That was the first interaction.
Obviously I won't be returning, so even if anything is done in response I won't know about it. With that being said, this woman doesn't belong in front of customers. She's either intentionally providing bad customer service, has not been taught the basics of verbal and non-verbal communication techniques, or is incapable of learning the basics. Regardless of the reason, if I were a manager I would not have her as the face of my restaurant.
Your sign on your door about being short-staffed is a reflection of what you're offering to potential employees in return for working in a terrible industry. You're competing with people who've become accustomed to unemployment that amounted to about $20/hour and don't want to good back to the terrible wages that are being offered by you and much of the rest of the restaurant industry. Offer better compensation and get this woman off...
Read moreFirst they give you a time frame, for your delivery and show up 15-30 minutes early...fine but then my order is wrong. maybe if they took that additional time they would have made it correctly. this is the last time I will ever purchase anything here again, in the past we had 3 orders coming to the same place which is literally a 2 minute dr. they charged each person $3 delivery. TO THE SAME PLACE! . $9 for delivery. When I asked they said it was to help pay for bags. WOW! not only are they over priced as it is when they cant even get orders correct and show up early but they need you helping pay for bags... then just to have there delivery person show up and tell you the tip your leaving he would not have delivered 2 minutes up the road.Mind you this is over a few times of ordering. ridiculous..I will continue to order Red Lobster there food is better priced, service is amazing and definitely better quality food, oh and they may not deliver but, there not so hard up there...
