Came here for both dinner and breakfast while staying at Teton Mountain Lodge and Spa. Made reservations for dinner so was seated right away and served by Michelle. She did an amazing job from start to finish. Was very helpful with the menu, making some recommendations, and even giving good tourist advice. It was a nice evening so the patio doors were open, so we opted for a table inside the restaurant but still got the fresh air of outside. Ordered a few drinks, bread Service, Elk Osso Bucco, Blackened Salmon, Seared Airline Chicken, and Soup for the main meals, then the Creme Brulee Cheesecake and Fruit Crisp a la mode for dessert. Surprise hit was the Elk Osso Bucco as it has to be cooked just right to avoid the gamey taste. Michelle made that recommendation and it was spot on. Other dishes and desserts were good as everyone enjoyed. Breakfast was more traditional but was a good way to start off the day. I enjoyed the great service, food, and ambiance.

Honestly, it has been our most underwhelming dining experience in Teton Village this trip. We started with the octopus appetizer, which was actually delicious and the highlight of the meal. We also tried the chef’s burger (definitely better burgers in the area so skip that), elk chili (at best, tasted the same as the chili you get in one of the cafes on the mountain for half the price), sweet potato fries (these were good), and bone marrow mashed potatoes (this was also quite good). By far the most disappointing side dish was the “grilled asparagus” - literally like 6 or 7 spears (which makes it about $1.15 per spear) that had been cooked to near complete dehydration. We did return the latter to the kitchen, one of the few times in my life where I have done that. All in all, I wouldn’t recommend it based on comparison to other local restaurants.

We got into Teton village after a long drive from Telluride and stopped in for a late meal. We were not too hungry so we decided just to go tapas style and have several of their appetizers. They included the mushroom toast, 307 Fries (elk gravy poutine), deviled eggs, poke tacos, and homemade chicken noodle soup. They were mostly delicious with the mushroom toast and poutine being the standouts to satisfy the comfort food craving. I would probably skip the tacos next time as their description of mini is accurate and flavors did not mix well with the other menu items but that is just my personal preference. Make sure to order the spicy margarita as well.

It is a perfect place if you do not mind 1) waiting for more than 30 min; 2) you never get a text message that your seat is ready; 3) the receptionist concludes that you are gone; 4) paying an overpriced small portion; 5) the receptionist tells you that it is okay that you waited that long; 6) all of these happen to you at the same time.

We arrived at the restaurant at 8:10PM on June 26. A male receptionist took my name and placed us on a waiting list, and we immediately received a text message at 8:14PM: You have been added to the waitlist at Spur! The estimated wait for your party of 4 is 15 minutes. We will text you when your table is ready.) I told him that we would be waiting at a fire table on the patio right in front of the reception desk.

We waited till 8:45PM and we had not received any text message about our table. The restaurant was half empty. So, I went up to the receptionist's desk. Another male receptionist was there and I asked him how long we would have to wait. He asked my name and told me that he looked for us but we were not in one waiting area so he thought that we were gone. I told him we were waiting on the patio right in front of him and even told the first receptionist that we would be waiting on the patio. I showed him the text message above. He then said that that is a computer-generated automatic message and they do not send a text message when a seat is ready. He seems like a summer temp and he went back to bring a middle-aged lady with a thick black glass frame. The first thing she asked me was if we had a reservation. When I explained all the things again, she said it was normal to wait for 30 min and it is okay. We were finally seated around 8:50PM and the server gave me a breakfast menu. If you do not want to ruin your vacation with this type of experience, do not come near SPUR Restaurant and...

Really leaves something to be desired.

TLDR; food was great, service was below average. Ironically the servers at the mangy moose were far more attentive.

Pros: The bacon wrapped dates were amazing Brussel sprouts also very good Good wine list, nice ambiance

Cons Ordered a refill of my drink after we finished appetizers, had to ask again twice (once to my waiter and once to another server who brought the food), waited 20 minutes to get a simple ginger ale refill When it came, it was flat and they had to change out the pack in the back...but the server didn’t ask “can I get you something else in the meantime?” Ordered the ribeye (~$50) medium rare, definitely came medium well...a miss (still very tasty cut though!) When my steak came, I only had my butter knife and had to flag down a waiter (after patiently waiting 5-10 minutes) and ask for a steak knife, I don’t want to wedge through a $50 ribeye with a butter knife Pepper mill at our table and the table next to us was totally empty, feels like for their prices they should check and fill the salt/pepper shakers Pork shanks were far too fatty (two members of our party ordered them) Another missed opportunity, we had one bottle of wine for a table of 7, and finished it through the appetizer, server never came back to ask if the table wanted to order another bottle

The above are 100% admittedly kind of nit-picky, but when they all add up...for a restaurant aiming to meet fine dining standards, I feel like they consistently missed some of the little things that you really expect to turn a meal into an experience.

There aren’t a lot of other options for sit down meals in the area, and we won’t be back in the area (on vacation), but I’d recommend going somewhere else. If we lived here I’m confident we...

This was not the way we were hoping to start our trip in Jackson Hole. After a long flight was finally ready to relax and get in vacation mode and spur seemed like the perfect spot. Had the tuna poke starter which was solid. Dinner entrees were a major disappointment. Ordered the New York strip medium rare but said to lean on the side of rare. Wife ordered the burger and my son had the pizza off the kids menu. It really could not have been worse. The entrees were really slow but no big deal it was a little busy in the bar area and we were in no hurry. My steak arrived shoe leather well done and the waiter was by as I was first cutting it saw it and graciously took the steak away and said they could do much better. My wife’s burger was charred to the point that it was literally flavorless. Don’t expect a medium rare burger but this tasted like it was 10 minutes past well done. Starting to realize why the entrees ran so long until my son bites into the pizza and the crusty dough was raw on the inside that combined with a heavy handed gelatinous marinara was a challenge for him to say the least. Was brought a cup of soup to have something in front of me while my wife and son struggled with their food. Another steak came out well after they were done attempting to eat their meals as no offerings or check on how things were for them. My second steak came out fairly rare but with the amount of time that had lapsed it was really a lost cause. Would have preferred to say please don’t bring me anything else but was never given that option. A check and a goodbye and that was pretty much it. I’m not one to demand things be removed from the bill but with a meal like that to get “hear have a cup of soup and go away” was really not what...
