We stayed here for 5 nights on vacation in early September. I was very pleased with this FS and would highly recommend. It wasn’t perfect, but in areas they fell short they quickly made up for it and check in often to ensure everything was ok. ||Room: B+|The rooms are updated and quite spacious. Despite our room overlooking the front driveway, we never heard any noise from outside, or inside for that matter. It was one of the quietest hotel rooms I’ve ever had. In fact one night apparently had loud thunder, we never heard a thing! Nice large closets with enough hangers. However, two things about the rooms we did not like: 1) The A/C is on sensors and at night it shut off and the room got very hot. Maintenance came by to look at it and make adjustments and it got better as our stay went on. But this is a common problem in hotel rooms that rooms get warm at night. 2) Smaller issue but design flaw: the safe is high up on a shelf in the closet and you need to be 7 ft tall to see into it. We were worried to put stuff in there for fear we wouldn’t be able to get anything out, or see it before we left. Put safe’s at eye level! ||Grounds/Hotel Design: A|The hotel is beautiful inside and out and loved the luxurious but rustic design.||Location: A|It’s about a 15/20 min drive to downtown Jackson but being in Teton Village also gives you access to many restaurants and casual food options, plus shops. We preferred being in Teton village as it’s closer to the Park entrance. The tram is right out the back of the resort and in winter the ski trails are literally right there. ||Housekeeping: B+|The first day they never came to our room despite us being gone 9-4. I called to complain and they were very apologetic and the team came early each day after and checked in by text each day, which I appreciated.||Staff: A|Special shout out to the valet team, they hustled for the cars we never waited more than a few minutes. But all the waitstaff, front desk, spa team, and concierge staff were pleasant and helpful. ||Spa/Gym: A|Had a great massage and there is nice indoor whirlpool. No outside waiting area but makes sense due to the weather. The gym is not overly large but has all the equipment you need. ||Food: A-|We did room service one night, The Steakhouse one night, and did breakfast each day. Breakfast portions are small but the food good and it’s a large menu. Dinner was delicious however the steakhouse kitchen was slow and the wait staff kept commenting they didn’t know why. They comped us the dessert for the delay. For our day to Yellowstone the kitchen put together a to-go breakfast that we could pick up at the front desk at 5:45. it took a bit of back and forth to nail this down and wasn’t as seamless as I like, but in the end worked out. ||Definitely a great option in...
Read moreI called this place to reserve a room instead of doing it from Expedia, only because we had a question about dog friendly rooms. I wish I never had done that (or good that I didn’t, because …) Amber on the phone was super friendly, I asked if they would give us a Mountain View with a deal so we book it with them instead of going through Expedia which I get points and have points to spend. She says hold on a second puts me on hold then cones with a deal, however a different view that I wasn’t asking for but I missed it, Booked it and hung up. The phone was on the speaker and we were driving 90 MPH, my wife said I got a valley view …
Called back in 2 minutes after booking, Amber is not on her desk and no help from the other sales rep, had no idea, it felt like I’m talking to commission ppl that only care about their own stuff, she said she will call you back, No call after 20 mins, I call back and talk with another lady in cancellation, value view was never on my radar radar, ratter had a resort view for less, That lady was nice and cancelled the reservation and told me she will transfer me to Amber because I was still trying to give my business in the correct room, she comes back and says she will call you in 2 minutes. I waited maybe 30 minutes no call, at this point I was done, only my wife wanted to stay there and because of her I called back again, and I was trying to be nice and make a deal with Amber, otherwise Expedia would have done it anyways and with a deal, This was all a mistake from my side to call them, I always do my bookings without talking to a person, I thought it’s 4 Season right? The holly grails of horrid blah blah, But guess what? This location showed they are full of it. Anyways, last call I made suddenly Amber answers again, all bubbly and nice again, I’m like should we stay there when she hasn’t called us back? She listens to me but only that, and she says let me check the availability (they were all empty) and call you for sure, and she never calls back, Guess what? I’m not gonna be in 4 Seasons for life, we stayed at Teton Lodge and Spa, actually paid the same, and booked it l on the phone, no switch and bait, no fuss, none of that. And their rooms are right at the mountain not an obstructed view, I recommend you not to book this hotel based off their name, If that was how they treated us before we go in, god knows what we would have seen in there. On top of all of this, the directory guy is just pushing buttons, I asked him for a manager, sure, he sends me to automated system. How terrible of a Customer device? I’ve stayed in millions of hotels in the world, this service on the phone was equal to a motel down somewhere, only difference is that motels want your money, these guys didn’t. Snooty...

The fireplace serves nicely to dry out ski gear. The only complaint is the incredibly dry air in winter months. I only wish they could humidify the air more.||Housekeeping: No big complaints. As long as you use the App and tell them exactly what you need. On day 1 they were still cleaning our room at 4:30pm, after we arrived back, tired from the slopes. That was annoying. But after that, we just used the app to specify the times we needed them and it was no problem.||Service: Mostly excellent service. The manager at the Handle Bar recognized me by name even during a busy lunch rush. And the manager at the Omakase went out of her way to get us last minute reservations. Even the valet offered us a ride to Teton Thai (when he saw we were going to walk) as we didn’t know rides were available. The only hiccup was at Check In. It lacked the hospitality of other FS check ins we’ve experienced. Usually it is a peaceful and welcoming time after a long journey - this one felt transactional and the lobby was crowded with crying babies. I wish they had a separate area for Check In.||Ski Concierge: the people were great and it’s super convenient to have rentals and storage on site. However, for snowboarders, they did not have enough children equipment so we had to go next door to rent gear. Not a great FS experience to have to go next door.||Concierge: we did not utilize the concierge too much. But, the concierge helped us book a Yellowstone Snowcoach Tour of Old Faithful. It was outsourced to Scenic Safaris and this was not a tour that should be associated with FS standards. So beware of what tours they book you with. ||Room Service: overall, excellent. They even helped pack several to-go breakfasts for us when we had to leave early in the morning for tours. ||Restaurants: Handle Bar is great for lunch. Ascent Lounge has a solid dinner/tapas type menu. The Westbank Grill was great for breakfast and dinner. Overall, food was solid.||80 Proof: they had a speakeasy bar which was awesome. The 2 guys there explain every drink and provided a special evening.||Overall: a great property. While I could tell some employees were seasonal, I think everyone was well trained and doing their best. This was my 3rd FS stay this year (Oahu, Tamarindo) and JS was my...
