This is located at the Teton Village just outside the Grand Teton National Park. One of the must do things on your list if you ever visit the Teton. I visited in the summer but I understand the village is also open for winter activities. During the summer, there are fun activities such as hiking, mountain-biking, climbing courses, etc. (There are extra charges for the extreme sports at the Beidger center.) During the cold season they have winter sports with different ski courses.
The aerial tram is one of the most worthwhile activities to take part in at the village. The best part is that for $45, one adult can ride the tram, gondola or the lift multiple times for a whole day depending on the timings for the day. On a Monday it was 9-5 PM in September 2019. The Regular timings are 9-7 PM I believe. They also have senior/kids and family plans where 2 parents and 4 children can ride all day for $111. I am not sure if the rates are the same for the winter.
Coming back to the tram, there is one that goes either way every 15 minutes. It offers amazing views both ways and if you are lucky enough, you may even get to see some wildlife. We did not see bears but we got to see moose. It takes you to the top of the peak (from an elevation of 6000' to 10000 ft) where you can see the grand teton peak to your right.
There are a wide range of views on the top and many different hiking trails you may follow. You can see the town of Jackson on the south, Idaho to the West and the teton peaks to the east. During the ski season, according to the operator, the tram can carry up to 100 passengers with ski equipment.
On top of the mountain, you can buy waffles at Corbett's Top of the World Cafe. There is also a telescope with which you can take detailed views by paying quarters. All in all, I would say it is one of the most worthwhile experiences while visiting the tetons. I strongly recommend visiting the village especially if...

WOW! My wife and I just experienced the most incredible ride of our lives on the Jackson Hole Aerial Tram! This thing rockets you up 4,139 vertical feet in about 12 minutes, and the views get more spectacular with every passing second. By the time you reach the top at 10,450 feet, you’re literally on top of the world!
The tram itself holds about 100 people, but somehow it never felt crowded because everyone was just glued to the windows in absolute awe. As we climbed higher and higher, the entire Jackson Hole valley spread out below us like a living map. The Teton Range, Snake River, and endless wilderness stretched as far as we could see.
At the summit, Rendezvous Mountain offers 360-degree views that are simply beyond words. We could see into Idaho, down into Jackson Hole, and across some of the most pristine wilderness in North America. The viewing decks and short hiking trails at the top let you soak it all in from different angles.
The ride down was just as thrilling, and we caught views we missed on the way up. The whole experience felt like a journey through the clouds. Yes, it’s a bit pricey, but for this kind of once-in-a-lifetime perspective, it’s worth every penny.
Pro tip: Bring a jacket! It’s significantly cooler at 10,000+ feet, even in summer. This is hands down a must-do Jackson Hole experience!...
Read moreI had the pleasure of interacting with Martha recently, and I cannot speak highly enough of her professionalism, empathy, and commitment to doing the right thing. From the moment we connected, Martha demonstrated a deep understanding of ADA guidelines and handled the situation involving a service dog with absolute grace and respect. THE FIRST FOR ME since Ranger was certified almost 4 years ago.
She asked all the right questions--clear, appropriate, and in full compliance with ADA regulations--ensuring both the person and their service animal were treated with dignity. It was evident that Martha not only knew the law but truly embraced the spirit of inclusion and respect behind it.
What stood out the most was her calm, kind demeanor. She made sure the individual felt comfortable, supported, and welcomed, never once making them feel like an inconvenience or outsider. Her thoughtful approach turned what could have been a stressful situation into a smooth and positive experience.
Martha is a shining example of how service, compassion, and professionalism should look. She's not only informed--she's intuitive, respectful, and truly cares about doing right by others.
Highly recommend and deeply grateful...
