Jackson Hole Resort Lodging — Local services in Jackson

Very close to Moose ski lift. Shuttle stops steps from condo. Very convenient to take to Teton Village. Two heated hot tubs were one bldg away, also a heated pool. Free to condo renters. Mainly kids were in the pool. Hot tubs got crowded very quickly after skiing. Loved having a ski locker just outside our unit. We requested the lower level. Noisy when early skiers went down the stairs as our bedrooms faced the stairs. Free underground parking available across from our bldg. Firewood is free-in same area of parking, which we used. A couple of liquid fire starters were left for us. Decor looked tired-not updated. Appliances older but working. Sofa very uncomfortable, not sure how it is for sleeping. Bathrooms nice-one BR definitely needs a new shower head-tiny. A handheld one would be great! Lots of books to read, could use a few more games-thrift stores have great finds. We found a Scrabble game for $4 and left it there. Needed a burnt out light bulb changed when we arrived. Called and they came quickly. Electricity went out for over 5 hours in the area one day, but we were gone almost the entire time it was off. Took a long time to heat up when we came back. Fireplace was perfect! Small grocery store in village. Definitely do shopping in Jackson! Luckily we rented a car. Buses do go there at a cost, but by car it took 20 minutes each way. Plus you would need to take the shuttle to the village from your condo then wait for the bus to town (not free). And then do the return! Timing for everything would be a challenge. Restaurants in general are expensive. We cooked quite a few meals in. A few spices were on hand. Minimal storage containers, no plastic wrap, foil, baggies, etc. We left a box of sandwich bags for future guests. A grater and cookie sheet would be nice additions. Otherwise, well stocked. Loved being to choose from so pillows!! Beds fairly comfortable. Could use new blinds. Note pad and free Jackson Hole sticker were a nice surprise. On day of checkout and last minute walkthrough we found one toilet was overflowing. It had been gurgling. Plunger not working. Dishwasher had been started per condo checkout list. Called number listed and spoke with a person who was sending someone over right away but was told we could still leave. We think a pipe was frozen. Very good service/answering response. We had a great pkg deal which gave us each $500 towards our flight, plus a discount on the total package. I would rather have a laminated book to flip through quickly to see things than trying to hunt done everything online scrolling back and forth. Check out time and what needs to be done, map of Teton Village, ski runs, where firewood and hot tubs are located-hours of operation. We stayed in unit B-4 in Nez Perce lodging.

Positives: ski in/out, free shuttles to village, great use of lay out space for the rooms, wood fireplace with free wood, cozy furniture, big screen TV. The couch is awesome! A bag of free local coffee supplied that lasts about 5 days(3 cups a day)

Negatives: Very out dated in entire apartment, electrical plugs are worn out and some don’t let you charge anything, majority of the light switches don’t do anything except one for the dining room, kitchen and hall way the rest are useless, there is very few lamps so very dark in living room bedrooms and bathrooms. Floors and ceilings are thin so constant hearing of people walking around from wee hours of the AM to the evening, people leave their dog in the apartment unattended so it barks a lot of the time, Quality of bathrooms is old style and cheap, no recycling bins in apartment, TV is crooked, The dishwasher does not fit properly in its space one must push it in to close it, need more plates and wooden or plastic high heat resistant cooking utensils, people have messed up the nonstick pots and pans because owners left some metal utensils in the kitchen(throw them out if you are not using metal pots and pans!!) missing a lettuce spinner, and a good coffee machine(the one they have is a joke-does not allow to pour properly), WiFi is terrible and is...

Tensleep A2 - 2br condo. Location is good and it was large enough for a family of 4. Wifi is good and the kitchen was adequate. But we would not stay in that condo again for a few reasons. Master bed squicks LOUDLY at every movement you make! Management lied that they have replaced the bed.This particular condo is on the first floor, but it's kind of slightly below ground - the windows are all on one side and look directly at the cars in the parking lot. There's no air conditioning, so you need to open the window, but there're no proper curtains, only shades. If you pull up the shades, everyone can see inside, if you do, no air comes in. There aren't room darkening curtains. As a result of the lack of air, tge squeaky bed, and no room darkening, sleeping was not pleasant. The bedroom door was very difficult to close and made a lot of noise The apartment is smelly, I guess because of the windows and curtain situation. All electric outlets are messed up, so chargers don't stay plugged in. Another annoyance was the amount of shampoo provided - 0.75oz for 4 people for 3 nights. Are they kidding me? Would not recommend...
