I visited this Wendy's with my kids today at 5pm, to dine in. Unfortunately, it was a letdown. Why, you say? Well, I'll tell you. When I got there, I waited 15 minutes before placing my order. During that time, one party of 7 and another party of 1 had already placed their orders. No one greeted me or took my order until the food from both those orders had been completely removed from the counter. When I was finally greeted by staff, they merely said to me: "DoorDash?" I said "no, I'm here to eat." No acknowledgement from staff or "sorry about that" for the long wait. So I place my order of 3 biggie bags, 15 minutes after arriving. Then I took my seat to wait for my order. The music in the dining room is blaring. Most of the tables in the dining room were dirty and hadn't been bussed. My order then took another 10 minutes to be ready. When it did come out, my food was barely warm. If my food took so long to get ready, why couldn't it be hot when it came out? Oh well. So I began to eat with my kids at a clean table I found in the dining room. While I ate, I watched an employee go to the exterior doors and lock the panic bars so no one else could get in to the dining room. Then I watched as 2 dozen or so customers tried to get in, but got back in their cars and left because they couldn't get into the restaurant. No one put a closed sign on the door, or said the restaurant was closing early. The restaurant hours say the dining room is open until midnight. I have been here before with the same extremely slow, lackadaisical service. The restaurant appears understaffed, and staff can readily be seen bickering in the kitchen trying to make ends meet between the drive through and the dining room. It looks like their priority is serving the drive through, and the dining room is an afterthought. It's like no one gives a rip, and it's too bad. The thing that bothers me the most is not the bad service, or the mediocre food. It's the staff inexplicably locking the doors to customers who want to come in to eat, and staff refusing to let them in when those customers can be visibly seen pulling and knocking on the doors asking to be let in. As much as I like Wendy's, I will not be back...
Read morePulling up to the drive through expecting a typical experience that one would receive going through any drive through. That was not the case this time. After seeing someone speed off in frustration ahead of us we thought this might be different but was not expecting it to be this bad. Getting to the speaker we waited for close to 4 minutes before someone came over the speaker. "What do you want?" They said in a grumble. We placed our order which consisted of meals for 4 people. A Dave's double burger meal medium size, an Asiago ranch classic chicken club meal medium size, a 4 for 4 meal with a junior bacon cheeseburger with just lettuce, no condiments. And a chicken nugget kids meal. In between each item we were asked "Will that complete your order?" So feeling pressured and unwelcome was naturally an occurrence. When we got to the window we realized we forgot to order our biggest reason for coming, frosty's. Usually it's no big deal to add a couple of them to the order but this time one of the employees said we were supposed to go all the way back around the drive through and order them there. Absurd! The first item came back as a Dave's single burger meal, small size. The second item came back without cheese and the ranch on the chicken tasted spoiled, small size again. The 4 for 4 item came back without nuggets and it had mustard on it. Our frosty's were the wrong sizes and the wrong flavors. The kids meal was the only order without an immediate issue but they forgot the milk it comes with. ALL of our fries came to us as cold as stone! And with at least a cup of salt each. They we're disgusting as well as the burgers that came cold. Trying to correct the few immediate issues like missing drinks and such we heard them getting extremely frustrated and making inappropriate comments to one another about us being still at the window. Our items were missing and we were being very patient in our attempt to resolve the issue. This was by far our worst experience ever and we will not return to that location. The one who took our order...
Read moreThe food was as good as you can expect from a Wendy’s. What really brings it down was the service my family and I got through drive through. We ordered our food and pulled up to the window and the lady running it (Dark hair, glasses, I think Alex was the name?) told us “Frosty Machine is down. You’ll get Berry instead”. Not even asking if we wanted a substitute. We tried asking if vanilla was an option and she said no, continuing to push Berry. Now, maybe she didn’t know about the broken ice cream machine until we pulled up then and there, but if she had informed us it was down or at least was a bit more polite in her interaction the rest could have been avoided. So we told her no substitutes on our frosties, just the food. She got an attitude and asked some coworkers to help get rid of the drink from the combo meal. While doing this, the ordered was deleted (and she again got an attitude about it). She then recharged us for the full order and when the food finally came out, half of it was missing. When we went in to get what we were missing, the other employees (who seemed like chill people and were understanding of the situation) gave us the food we were missing. All the time, the other employees gave me the vibe that this attitude and mistake weren’t uncommon for the drive through girl to make.
Now, look, we all have bad days, we all want to leave or go to break at a certain time… but holy crud lady. Take a breathe, count to ten, and don’t bully your coworkers or customers for honest mistakes, some of which you yourself make. All this to say, when I do feel like eating Wendy’s again, I probably wont be going to this one. Hope the gentlemen working with her had a wonderful rest of their day, and that Alex (?) had a better day...
