Walked in, sat down at the bar to watch the Jaguar game. There were dirty cups and dishes on the bar, crumbs everywhere. Sat there for about 10 minutes before anyone even greeted us. When bartender 1 finally said hey she didn’t offer to grab us drinks or anything.... not even a “hey guys I’ll be right with you.” Bartender 1 comes back after filling the lemonade cooler and noticed me pushing all the dirty dishes to the side. Then realizes we had not been helped. So bartender 1 takes our drink and appetizer order. 10 MORE minutes goes by and bartender 2 greeted us as if we just sat down. So I mentioned we ordered a cocktail, milkshake, waters and an app. She calls over to bartender 1 and asks if she put any of it in and bartender 1 says nope. So after 15+ minutes of waiting, bartender 2 puts in our drinks and app and we went ahead and ordered dinner as well. The cocktail or milkshake never came. A food runner with an attitude brought out the wrong burger that wasn’t even ours and basically dropped it on the bar. App still hasn’t arrived. We also reminded bartender 2 about our milkshake. When the food finally came the same food runner inappropriately asks us “are these actually yours? Because I’m getting yelled at.” The order was indeed ours and the food was good. We also asked the food runner for the milkshake and she responded with “I don’t make those, the bar does.” I had to ask 3 different people for a side of ranch before walking into the kitchen and asking someone there myself...seemed to be quicker. Bartender 2 checked on us and forgot our milkshake again. After our meal someone in the kitchen finally brought the milkshake out. No one cleared our plates, or offered the check. Meanwhile a couple came in and sat next to us to watch the game. No one even greeted them. I asked Bartender 3 if we could get the check and she was the most responsive and personable person all night. She quickly got the check, asked if we were good, and was very pleasant. The couple next to us were still waiting to be greeted and didn’t have drinks. As we paid our tab and got up to leave they got up and walked out also. I purposely drug my boyfriend to this restaurant (despite his reluctance) because I have always loved cruisers. I used to think very highly of this place and was excited for the remodel. However, the two times we’ve been since the renovation, the service hasn’t been the same. We are just...
Read moreThe food was good, the service that we received when we ate here was great. No issues here at all. The 1* review is more for what came next.
However, when we got back home after eating we realized we didn't have our credit card. We had dinner here, we don't typically lose our credit cards (if ever) but it very strangely happened here. I called cruisers in the morning to mention that we couldn't find our credit card, to see if the staff may have seen it or placed it somewhere. The worker who answered was very nice and respectful, said he didn't see it but took down our name in case they saw it.
We ended up driving back down to cruisers as we are staying nearby for a mayo clinic visit, and we sat where we had previously and politely asked a man in the bartending area if they had happened to see a credit card with our information on it. Another bartender came by and laughed when she heard we were looking for our credit card, as apparently this happens all the time at this location (per the bartender). The man who was grabbing the cards was telling us how much of a nuisance it is when people call or come by and inquire about credit cards during busy times (it wasn't busy when we came by) and how it's much quicker for the person to just cancel the card and order another one on the phone. He shows us a stack of about 30-40 credit cards that he said was from the last two days, proceeded to hand us our credit card and in front of us threw the remaining 40 in the trash. It was surprising to see, especially when it seems like it may be a restaurant problem with so many cards left over a two day period that did not include any weekend time. It will definitely keep us from returning unfortunately, and feels unnecessary especially in front of customers to just throw 40 credit cards away as he happily said that whenever someone asks him if they have their credit card he throws the rest away. Additionally, you are supposed to cut the cards in half when you throw them away. So, unfortunate to share a bad review as I thought the food and service was already appropriately rated, however ive never seen someone do what this gentleman did. Fantastic...
Read moreThis was my first time back to this restaurant in a very long time, and I was super stoked to bring my boyfriend and my sister here to try. I hate to say this, but we will never come back here again. As we walked in we were greeted by a young man and we had asked if we could sit in a booth. He looked around and huffed and rudely said “Yea, but it will be a few minutes if you can wait” My boyfriend said that’s fine and then he set his stuff down and rolled his eyes while he went to go clean off the table. As he was talking the dishes back he was talking under his breath, and mad that we asked for a booth. We got seated and then our waitress came over. She didn’t greet us, or introduce herself. We gave our drink orders and were going to order a small order of fried mushrooms. My boyfriend is allergic to cayenne, and had asked if they used any in the batter and the waitress looked at him as if it was a stupid question and said “no” and walked away. When she brought our drinks out I was in the middle of asking her a question she immediately said “Give me a minute” and started walking away. I called her back, cancelled our order and we asked for the check. She came back and told us not to worry about it. I have been a server at a few places, and I understand how busy restaurants can get and how frustrating it can be. However, treating your customers as if it’s a inconvenience is what I don’t understand. We immediately felt unwelcome from the hostess, but we thought maybe he was having a rough day. Our waitress didn’t greet us, introduce herself, was rude when we asked a question about the food, and had no hospitality. I have been a server, bartender, and a manager of a restaurant and not once have I treated any customer like we were being treated. If you’re having an off day, take the day off instead of bringing the negative energy to a job that requires customer service. Cruisers is definitely not how...
