UPDATE: Essentially, if you have issues and decide to leave a review about your experience, don't expect a resolution. Along with employees being unprofessional, you can add management/corporate to the list. Had I not left a one-star review, they would have been willing to accommodate.
On 3/8/25 at 1:54, I went in and ordered my usual, a large Popeye. Upon getting my smoothie, I put my straw into my drink and it was too thick to even drink from the straw. I went back to the counter and told the cashier about the thickness of the smoothie. The cashier then told her coworker that I would like the smoothie remade because it was too thick. I said that was not necessary; if they could just give me coconut water to water it down a bit. The cashier told me no, they can't do that; they'll just remake it. The girl the cashier was talking to appeared to be immediately annoyed, so I said it's okay, I'll take a refund and just go to the Jax Beach location. After about two minutes, your team lead comes out and says they're not able to do refunds or remake the drink because they did nothing wrong on their end. I stated to her how that's possible when I can't even drink out of the straw because it's too thick. She then said that's policy, but I can give you the manager's email, and maybe she can help you. She wanted me to leave the establishment with no drink and no refund, and if I wanted the drink remade, I had to pay for a new drink. So I asked her for coconut water, and she took about two more minutes to bring that over. It did not help the consistency of the drink; it was still too thick. I took the drink and just walked out. I come to this establishment at least two times a week by myself, and my husband also comes in before work often. I am a paying and tipping customer. To be treated like I am just looking for a handout is beyond embarrassing. This is not the first time the smoothie was too thick. The first time they also had an attitude but still remade it. I’m not a rude customer or someone looking for a hand out. I am a paying customer trying to support a local establishment. Being treated this way by people in the hospitality industry is disappointing to...
Read moreBy far the best Poke Bowl I have ever had. When I review food I look at three main things: freshness in taste/look, flavor, and portion size (because I HATE paying for full meals and leaving still hungry…)
They knocked all thee out of the park! The Salmon had fabulous texture (not mushy or slimy like some,) the rice was an amazing portion (most poke bowls fall short in this category, which stink because rice is so cheap and filling that it shouldn’t be a problem.) They had an “eel sauce” replica as well as “spicy mayo” replica. They both were delicious. The spicy mayo tasted a bit like “yum-yum” sauce often found at the Japanese’s steakhouses.
The veggies were fresh and they gave enough ginger for the whole bowl!! The ginger was probably the best part and it paired so will the portion size because of how much they gave. They topped it with crisp large scallions and toasted sesame seeds. The free toppings that I included were cilantro, cucumber, scallions, ginger, wasabi, and sauces.
The price was high as for most poke bowls (about $15- without added toppings) but I didn’t mind in the end because of the portion size. I would have been extremely disappointed had I paid $15 for a small serving, but that was not the case. If you want to add things like avocado, edamame, mango, etc… be prepared to pay closer to $20 or more depending on what and how much you add. I normally have all those additional toppings when ordering poke bowls, but because of the price I decided against them and honestly it was still delicious and didn’t even need all the extras.
10/10 stars! Delicious, and I will definitely be back. Don’t forget to grab your free sticker on...
Read moreUpdate- A manager finally got back to me (I'm assuming only because I posted here as she was very distracted and sounded like she had already left for the day when she called) I still felt there was a bad difference. Sorry! I even picked up some plain yogurt similar to this brand and even that one had a better sealing on it. It was also sour and slightly tangy but not like yours. Maybe it was left unrefrigerated for too long because I even told them the expiration was fine. Whatever the reason, I shouldn't have to feel like I am battling for a refund! The yogurt was $11 and I was not satisfied. I was five minutes away that day and could have came back for a refund or even an exchange at the time and instead I had to wait to hear back from someone and she still never called until end of day! Just a very irritating and careless process if you ask me!
I work close by so I come here frequently and love all of their items. Yesterday I bought some yogurt from them (because I remember loving it last time) and it was spoiled. The girls on the phone kept trying to tell me that it’s supposed to feel tingly and carbonated because of the probiotics in them and that is just not true. Fresh yogurt will not already be fermented like that? Then they said the most they could do for me is have a manager call me this morning and I have not received a phone call. If a yogurt is above $5 it should be at least fresh. I feel like I wasted my money and I probably will not return for this reason... I’ve never had a problem like this at homespun kitchen in Atlantic beach so I will drive the extra mile for fresh food and better...
