My first time at Bonefish Grill on Wednesday celebrating my sister's birthday. We had the worst server and worst service I've ever had in my life. At least 10 things were messed up, wrong, took forever and not a pleasant experience at all. We were seated by a table of 12 women celebrating a birthday which was fine and another table of very loud women. We could hardly hear each other talk over our little two-seater table which we were moved to from a 4 seater. Our waiter kept disappearing and another waiter would bring something, like my sister's wine and it was not what she ordered and I finally got my water and it took forever just to order then we finally got some bread and dip and we wanted more and that was never brought. My sister did not get dressing for her salad and again it took forever for the waiter to bring the dressing that should have been brought with the salad and this is just one of many things. I wanted more water that was brought 45 minutes later. I was completely out. My steak was not what I ordered and took forever when they took it back to refire it. My sister's trout was the best she'd ever had and I had a bite and it was the best trout I'd ever had and we're from Minnesota!. The table next to us, the waitress brought a brownie with ice cream and candle and the table sang happy birthday and it was so nice and we had told our Waiter on three different occasions and he kidded my sister about the birthday. Then he said he was going to bring a dessert but he just decided not to at the end , which is exactly what he told us...which made no sense. Took forever to get the check. And after 20 minutes of waiting for change we just said forget it and left. Two and a half hours later we finally left very disappointed. Up by the hostess Booth it was four employees talking and we asked for the manager to try to explain a little bit about some of the issues and the person who was supposed to be the manager was not polite, was a bit argumentative, and contradictory as he said they don't do celebrations for birthdays and they don't sing happy birthday but they did. Anyway I won't ever go back unless it's to get takeout of the trout. And I was so looking forward to going as I'd heard very...
Read moreI originally reached out to the restaurant via their online portal, but no one has responded to me, so I decided to leave my thoughts and review here.
I'm writing this review with great disappointment. On 12/17/22, I was a guest with a large group (approximately 40) that was seated at or around 730pm. After some minor confusion about the seating, I finally found my place on the far end near the bathroom entrance. My back was facing the walking path area. As one of your waiters was bringing water to the table, one of the glasses of water turned over and spilled down my back, chair, and on to the floor. My COAT, DRESS , HAIR & FEET were wet!!! My sister sitting next to me feet were wet, too. My waitress was very apologetic and immediately went to get something to clean up the mess. Our waitress and another staff member (short & bubbly) attempted to wipe the back of my coat off that I was still wearing. Mind you all of this is happening behind me. The short one's initial comment was, " Did my staff spill this?" and we answered, yes. While, cleaning the mess up, she made an unnecessary & unprofessional comment to me, " Well, at least it's water and not liquor!" My immediate response was, "No, it's not because I'm still wet!" She then begin to focus back on cleaning the spill on the floor and making sure that the walking path was dry. She never came back to my section. Once the floor was cleaned up, our waitress continued with the ordering of the drinks and meals. At this point, a male server continued with passing the water out. No one came back to ask if I needed anything or if my clothes were dry. It was as if the incident didn't happen. I took my coat off and placed on the back of the chair and sat there with my dress and feet damp. I was able to dry off as best I could in that situation. From that point on, the service was off, and the tables had not been previously set for us, so the staff was constantly bringing small plates or silverware. There was alot of back and forth because of it. I must admit my dish was delicious. However, that will not be enough for me to ever...
Read moreLet me start by saying the customer service presented by staff (receptionist as well as waiter) was wonderful. It exceeded my expectations and for that reason alone i gave 2 stars instead of 1. They were nice, friendly & attentive as much as possibly in a Covid-apocalypse world. My problem was with the food and drinks. I would NOT recommend & the review below will explain in detail why i say this.
We went here for my boyfriend's birthday. We got shots, an appetizer, dinner and the waitress brought a birthday brownie complimentary for his bday, id course. The shots were retched but its one of things that you don't know until its too late. They tasted like the pail from under the tap. I mean they were disgusting.
The appetizers were good. No issues there but the entre was another story entirely. He ordered cod, stuffed with crabmeat & capers, paired with Spinach and "premium mac & cheese". The mac cheese went straight back to the kitchen. There was no flavor, just a bunch of bland cheeses blended togther. It had a slight grainy texture like they started out melting the cheese and then just threw it in a ramekin and into the oven, then sprinkled a few pieces of bacon and called it the ultimate. Onto the cod, If there was some crabmeat insight it must've been under the plate. Nonetheless he ate it since it was my gift to him.
I ordered the grilled Mahi & shrimp, garlic mashed potatoes & steamed broccoli. The Mahi I believe was overcooked a little because the texture was like chicken. The garlic mash were creamy but there wasn't a taste of garlic in sight. There's no point in talking about the broccoli. I took the majority of it in a to go plate so that could dress it up at home.
Overall i spent $95 with a $15 tip...I didn't think the wait staff should be punished for the lack of quality food. However in my opinion, for $30 to $50 more you may as well go to Orsay and have a...
