know I’ve seen Donatos owners respond here before, so I hope this reaches the right person. Unfortunately, this is the second time my family has had a very poor experience at the Jax Beach Donatos on Beach Blvd.
The first time, a few months ago, we came in to pick up a pizza and were surprised to see what looked like a very young child (elementary school age) running the front counter. Not only was our food cold, but we had also been double charged. Eventually, what seemed to be her mother came out and said she would correct the double charge the next day as she did not have access to correct online orders.we never for reiumbursed for the double charge but decided to let it go.
Fast forward to today: my family (visiting from out of town) ordered delivery. The pizza was left at the door without anyone knocking or alerting us, so we only realized it had arrived after calling the store. A young girl answered and, when we asked why they hadn’t notified us, she insisted there was a sign on our door that said “Do Not Knock.” In reality, our door simply says “No Soliciting.” When we tried to clarify, she raised her voice, then hung up. My mother called back to speak with a manager, and the same young girl claimed she was the manager, gave her name as Amira, and hung up again.
After 2/2 experiences being this poor, I cannot recommend this location. The lack of professionalism and basic customer service is unacceptable along with the cold...
Read moreBe more courteous and transparent with customers. Thursday night ordered garlic cheese bread at 8:15 said it’d be ready at 8:30. Drove up to window at 8:30, took my money right away. First she said it’d be right out, but I could tell something was up. 15 minutes later told me 5 more mins, had me pull up to front, said it would be brought out to me. 9:00pm now I walk in, still nothing. One lady tells the other it still needs to be pulled out but the other lady(from the drive thru) says no it’s right here, yet still nothing. 9:05 I see bread being pulled, cut, maybe boxed I’m not sure, but then SHE CONTINUES ON OTHER ORDERS, without handing me my order. I walked out without saying a word, it was extremely frustrating. If y’all could’ve just told us it wasn’t even the oven yet we would’ve just tried a different day but now we feel robbed of time and money. I mean shoot it was only cheesy bread. I knew my girl shouldn’t have left a 4 dollar tip. It shouldn’t have taken 45+ mins for this order. There was never an apology for the wait, just lies saying it’d be right out. Terrible customer service. I could tell other customers weren’t happy either. Please, if you haven’t even started on an order by the time it’s suppose to be ready, let the customer know first before stealing...
Read moreAs another reviewer noted, the pizza here is quite unremarkable. While it is indeed not bad, it's very bland and quite dry. The danger with thin crust is that you have to be careful how much sauce goes on to avoid it getting soggy - but there still needs to be sauce. They either put a paper thin layer on it or they over cheese it (yes that's a thing) because after they bake it, all the sauce is gone, it's like eating an overcooked pita covered in cheese. If you want any flavor you'll need to get a cup of sauce on the side to dip, otherwise you're eating flavorless crisps. Oh, and this is particularly bad when you get it with pepperoni - if the pepperoni is more crunchy than the thin crust... it's well over baked.
The wings are better. They're well coated and well cooked, but there's nothing particularly unique about them. They're not better than other pizza places but they'll do if you're wanting both wings and pizza. I'll be sticking to other pizza places for this though, unfortunately I'm just the kind of person who prefers a balanced cheese to...
