I found this place on Google and from the reviews I thought it would be a great experience but I was so wrong. When we got in it wasn’t crowded so I figured we would be serviced immediately, but no it took out waitress about 30 mins to come take our drink orders. Since we already waited 30 mins I put in the food order as well. I ordered sweet tea and my daughter a sprite, also a lemon drop as a person in the reviews said the tea and lemon drop was good. We also ordered calamari for a appetizer. A family of four came in after us and they recieved their drinks before we ever did the waitress was looking at her phone, wiping off menus while we sat another 15 minutes before recieving our drinks. Remind you it’s not busy AT ALL. When I recieved the tea it was so NASTY and watered down I requested she take it back. She finally brought out the calamari and it was in sticks like a fish stick it was rubbery and some cold and I immediately was like NOPE cancel my order because if the food taste like this I’m not about to eat sushi from here. The waitress came out with another tea saying it was from a better batch and I’m was like I don’t want any of the batches I’m good. I paid for the two drinks and got out of that place so fast. My daughter drink was in a to go cup it wasn’t until we left she noticed black particles was in her drink, and that just made me wish I never went there. Also the hostess was not that pleasant I would not recommend this place at all. And I solely chose this place off of the reviews here on Google.

Let me start by saying, I don’t have a photo of the soft shell crab. Why, you ask? Because it was so delicious, it never stood a chance. It was like a deep-fried dream that disappeared faster than my willpower at an all-you-can-eat buffet. If there’s a crab heaven, this one got there early and was sent back to us in golden, crispy perfection. Then, we ventured into the roll section of the menu and met two absolute rockstars: the Pink Lady Roll and the Pikachu Roll. These weren’t just sushi rolls—they were sushi goals. I mean, we travel all over the state chasing sushi greatness, and these rolls just bodied the competition. The Pink Lady Roll was elegant, sassy, and addictive—basically the Audrey Hepburn of sushi. The Pikachu Roll? Pure electric bliss. I half-expected it to yell, “Pika Pika!” before zapping me with a lightning bolt of flavor. If sushi were a sport, Flame Sushi would be the championship team. The vibe, the flavors, the sheer audacity of how good this place is—it’s unforgettable. Do yourself a favor and go, but fair warning: You’ll be ruined for mediocre sushi forever. Five stars isn’t enough for Flame Sushi, but alas, Yelp won’t let me set the sushi world on fire.

My husband and our two children stopped in here tonight (Saturday, about 5:20pm) and we were one of only two tables in the entire place. Just wanted to set the stage for the following: The food at this place was great but the service was **so bad,** it deserves this review. Not only did I have to request every drink refill we received, but the main course came out WAY before our two appetizers - at least 15 minutes - and then our childrens’ two hibachi entrees didn’t come out until we had already finished the main course and the appetizers. (And when the edamame, one of our two appetizers came out, it was cold - luckily our children are not picky eaters because that was their appetizer. My husband and I got the fried potstickers.) We had to share our dishes with our children otherwise they would have been waiting almost a full 20 minutes without food after the main course for my husband and I came to the table. Everything was all out of order and mixed up. Very poor service experience. If the food hasn’t been great, I would have given it only one star. The service deserves none. For reference, the man in the left of my attached photo was our server. He needs to be retrained.

Edited: The order was originally made on 3/30/2024 at 1:14 pm and the pick-up time was at 1:45 pm the same day. End Edit

Ordered online and picked up my order on-site. The man at the front counter was very polite. Suggesting we come back if we liked the food. Unfortunately, we will not be ordering from them again based on food quality.

The food was plain and cold. They followed the instructions I placed for the food to a "T" but the food tasted empty. I ordered for a lot of people and had a pick-up set for a later time so they wouldn't have to rush to make the order. We arrived a little early before the pick-up time. We live 3 minutes away so the food being cold was unacceptable.

The sushi was probably the most disappointing part of the whole meal. The sushi was supposed to be deep-fried, which, it was. But because it sat for so long, the sushi was soggy. I'm assuming they made the order immediately and didn't realize the time delay on the order cause it made the sushi inedible.

Not to mention the noodles that were in the meal that were not mentioned in the meal discretion? Awful tasting in my personal opinion. I'm not sure what they are called but when I figure it out, I'll make sure they are never in my take-out again.

TLDR

Maybe an "In-dining" experience would have been different. But ordering ahead and taking the food back home was a mistake I'm not making again when it comes to this place.

The inside of the building looked nice but I can't comment on a dine-in experience here when I...

Initially drawn by the unique sushi roll specials names, My friend and I both went in where we were given a booth and had our drinks taken in a timely manner. We ordered the Alaska roll and the Double spicy roll with the advertised specials on the appetizers for the fried pork gyoza and vegetable tempura to start, but upon further review of the menu we both decided to try the pork Katsu entree and a glass of the Plum wine. The appetizers, sushi, and plum wine all arrived within a short conversation about the atmosphere, the waiter, David's, quick assistance and close attendance, and we found ourselves talking about how good the tempura was between bites of the fresh sushi, and how well the sushi taste with and without the shrimp and eel sauce provided. The broccoli tempura and alaska roll tasted best to me, but my friend liked the squash, and the gyoza, but we both agreed the sweet potato tempura is unappreciated. The plum wine was a refreshing palette cleanser between bites, and we soon found ourselves nearly finished with the appetizer and sushi when our pork katsu entrees arrived. The Katsu's presentation was charming, and the vegetables complemented the white rice, and the pork katsu's sauce brought a lot of flavour to the plate. We found ourselves asking for boxes halfway through due to the helpful portions of the appetizers and main dish. Overall a great experience, and I fully intend on...
