Honestly, tonight I had the worst experience I've ever had at a KFC. Normally, I never leave negative reviews because I understand that there are certain things out of their control, but today was really something.
It started with the drive thru. There were 3 cars ahead of me, but it took me 25 minutes to get to the speaker. Once I was there, all I heard was silence. "Hello, hello" I kept saying, but there was only silence. I was told to wait a moment, and 6 minutes later I was still waiting. It has now been nearly 35 minutes since I pulled up, and no one has taken my order.
It gets worse. They discontinued the 10 piece bucket for $20 deal, even though it was still posted on their sign. Very annoying. I had to reconfigure my order so that I wouldn't have to pay nearly $35 for 12 pieces of chicken. Once I finally got to the window after another 5 minute wait (so now I've been here over 40 minutes) I was informed that there were no more chicken breast in original flavor. My chicken would be mixed between original flavor and extra crispy unless I was willing to subject myself to another long wait.
Finally, after around 50 minutes of waiting I was able to pull away with my overpriced mix and match buckets of chicken. Quite a disasterous experience. If you want timely chicken, good service, and low prices, do NOT go here. Clearly they are understaffed or something. Normally I have a lot of compassion for the few workers that are left holding the bag for poor staffing decisions, and I still do. However, this was beyond ridiculous.
I am leaving this negative review in the hopes that someone fixes the staffing situation. The workers there should not be punished as it is clear they were doing their best in an impossible situation. I blame the management. I blame KFC. Read moreLast 5 times here I got my order perfect 1 time. Must have had corporate there that day. They don't care what you order and give you what they currently have available. It's only a matter of time that they shut down for good because of their incompetence. They are making their own grave. Like I said the 1 time my order was perfect as for exactly what I ordered and cooked perfectly will not keep them in business. KFC if you care about your business read these reviews because you will be a thing of the past!
Update 3yrs later. Now KFC is offering free 8pc tenders or chicken to get people back. I bit on this deal. I got the 3pc 2 breast and wing meal. I must say it was all correct. The pieces of chicken weren't changed and everything was good. I got my son the 8pc tenders and I ordered a family fries. The fries weren't even half way filled for almost $6. The breading on the strips was almost non existent as they were more like grilled. I know they changed them to original recipe but there was really no coating at all. I wish I took a picture. Service still sucks as I walked in and the cashier was helping a customer. After she took that customers order she went back on the line with 4 other employees except for asking me if I was ordering or picking up. I was picking up and my order was sitting by the drive thru window instead of the pickup area they have at the front conter. Eventually, after standing there for more than 10 minutes as she helped the drive thru and gave that lady in front of me her order she asked me who I was picking up for. I told her the name and she goes and grabs the food sitting by the drive thru window. Why couldn't she just ask me after she took the customer before me her order who I was picking up? Read moreProbably the most incompetent "restaurant" I've ever been to. No one in the drive-thru, but waited at the speaker box for about 4 or 5 minutes. Finally got someone, and all I wanted was an 8-piece bucket of their Nashville Hot chicken. That's it. The girl on the speaker then tries (poorly) to explain the different pricing structure for this flavor. "It's an extra $1.50 per three pieces...no, wait...it's an extra 'bla bla bla', I think...hold on."
I said I didn't understand a thing she just said, and then when she again struggled to explain the pricing differences (yeah, really) between the regular and the hot, I said to just let me get an 8-piece original. That should be easy enough, right?
Get to the window and waited several more minutes. Tells me the price (almost $22 for 8 pieces of chicken?? Really??), and says they don't have enough original, and will have to give me half extra-crispy. Sigh. I said fine. I just wanted to get the hell outta there.
As I was about to hand her my card, she says it's gonna be "about 10 minutes for fresh chicken". Yeah, right. I'd had enough. I pulled my card back before she could take it, and said to forget the whole thing. Nearly 20 minutes here just trying to get a simple bucket of chicken...at KFC...a chicken place. Ridiculous.
Avoid this severely incompetent place. Just go to Publix for an 8 piece...
