When I came to your establishment it was my first experience. I had no idea what to expect when I enter the place. I tried to order to Chedar burgers (revised) (2) but was told they were not available so my wife ordered a pulled pork sandwich and I ordered a knock-off big Mac . When the food arrived the fries had an extremely large amount of salt on them. The salt was visible to the naked eye. I requested they make me another batch of fries. I was told no and offered $3 compensation. Although I paid $1.75 for each order of fries which was two(2). I was adamant that they make another order of fries the cashier said no. A cook came out of the back and said he will make more fries. When the fries arrived they were half the fries that were originally sent to me. I explained there were two orders of fries my wife had to show him the receipt and he brought another order of fries slammed them on the table and said you are welcome. While speaking to other patrons at the establishment the cook and the cashier came out and became confrontational. I disposed of the french fries. Requested a business card from the bartender. I have never been so humiliated in my life that someone will be upset because I ordered at closing time which I had no idea what time the place close when they could have just said we are closing or the kitchen is closed. The staff intentionally gave me salty fries and a salty Burger I appreciate them giving my wife a delicious pulled pork sandwich but the experience that I had was Unforgivable. Please train your employees that business hours are business hours you can't punish your customers for coming in at closing time when the customer has no idea what time you close or it is their first experience at your establishment. On that note I would recommend you not visit the establishment when they are closing. And the employees need to learn not to come out of the back confronting customers while speaking to other patrons. They cannot justify what...
Read moreWhile in JAX I wanted to try one of the many craft beers available in the area. After dinner we drove downtown to try Intuition. It's downtown next to baseball field. If you can't find street parking there's parking behind the brewery. Once you park, walk around to the front of the bar. There's a door on the corner that lets you in. The downstairs bar was nicely done. Wooden table tops and bar stools were easy to find. There were also tables with regular chairs, although those were taken up when we arrived. It wasn't crowded at all until after the baseball game (JAX Jumbo Shrimp). There is also an upstairs bar that has an open air area, but apparently it was pretty full. There was a place to order food and get sodas for the non-drinkers. There is also a counter next to the bar that sells memorabilia and beer to go. I picked up a growler (1/2 gal) for $5 and got it filled for $20. That was after I had sampled some their beers. There was a very good list of beers available on draft (I'll post a pic of the menu). It's kid friendly too. We brought in some Becker's for my boys (7 & 9) but they also had several games next to the memorabilia counter so we played some of those as well. This was a great experience and the beer was really good! This is a must stop for...
Read moreThe building was not hard to find, I love the sign in front of the door as we entered, very unique. I was getting a while different vibe as I walked through the door, the whole room was filled with our fellow yelpers, so that was pretty awesome.
Sitting by the bar, we were offered to try one of the four complimentary beers and obviously I chose the Jon boat since it was the popular choice of the night. Blck Shp's veggies pickles and cheese platter, mini burgers and mac & cheese were great. We all got to fill our stomachs with these delicious appetizers and mingle through the night before starting our official beer tasting experience. My favorite beer of the night was surprisingly the Dark Star (7%ABV), although it was the darkest out of the 4 we tried, yet it was creamy and sweet with a hint of roasted barley. I enjoyed learning about the different types of beer, what IBU was, the intensity and their alcohol content. I've gained great knowledge of the company after the tour and truly amazed how the company got started. This tour and beer tasting was part of the yelp event and it...
