Live Bar Seafood — Restaurant in Jacksonville

The food and the atmosphere were amazing! I visited Live Bar last night for the first time and in all honesty will probably be the last time for me bc the service was horrible. My bestie and I stepped out to support some local talent that we are acquainted with. We purchased a VIP table. I arrived first. I was seated and I sat. The only waitress on the floor passes by me and the rest of my party (they all trickled in ) over and over again. After about 45 minutes of waiting, I finally went to the bar to get something to drink. I stood there another five minutes or so while the only waitress that was working the floor and one of the bartenders had a good long chat. They disbursed and acted like they didn’t see me standing at the bar. I finally threw my hands in the air and said, “Can I get some service?”

The bartender gestures like she has no idea and sends another waitress over to me. I ask for a menu, tell her my party is in VIP and we’d like to order. She gives me a menu and shakes her head. I go back to the table and wait. A few minutes later a gentleman comes by to leave some advertisements on the table. He speaks and asks how we’re doing. I advise him that I’m both hungry and thirsty and can’t seem to get any service. He tells me that he’s the manager and he’ll get someone right over. We wait. The waitress heads our way to pivot and take care of a couple that literally just walked in. By this point, I’m livid so I go back to the bar and Mr. Midnight happens to be at the bar. He’s the local talent that I’m acquainted with. I tell him that we came out to support him but can’t get any service. He jumps into action and I’m finally able to get a Sprite. Whew Jesus! While I’m trying to get service, my bestie is trying to get the bottle that came with the VIP table.

About an hour and a half later, we finally get the bottle and we were able to order food. My bestie and I order at the same time. Her food comes, mine does not. About thirty minutes later, Mr. Midnight comes back to check on us and I tell him that I still don’t have my food. He goes to get help and shortly after my food appears.

Now they did send two shots to our table and I’m appreciative but to have paid $250 for a VIP tablet and this is the service we receive, I’ll keep my money in my pocket going forward!

8/7/19 One hour and twentytwo minutes later, after complaining...they decided to give us our money back. The drinks are served in a small plastic cup and over priced. The service was absolutely horrible. We sat at the bar and saw some waitresses actually really trying to fill orders however; our waitress never went and checked on our food yet told us...its coming out soon, its next? When we complained about the wait and to please just refund us our money, we were told "after a order is placed they can not refund it( this is now 45 minutes later)". Again, everything was horrible. They weren't checking Identfication ( we watched) and they were smoking weed like it was just the normal thing to do in this place. Yet again, horrible...

An ok spot. I only had 1 drink (Margarita) and it was nasty and I wasn’t going to waste money on another. I’ve never been to a club and they only give you 1 chaser when you order bottles. When I’m spending hundreds of dollars on bottles I should be allowed to get as many chasers as I like. But the lady did look out for me and brought me some cups with the other chaser in it. It was a HUGE mistake for them to not have working restrooms. Smh I mean y’all did know in advance that y’all was going to have Trina there so I’m sure y’all expected some type of crowd to be there.
