BOYYYYY OH BOY.
I'm not the negative Nancy type HOWEVER I will never return to spend $50 on Moes again in my life. I used to actually like Moes better than chipotle however this has put a very nasty taste in my mouth.
I took my husband and son for lunch thinking this will be great because Moes for the first time in my life didn't have a line. (I see why now) I walked in and started to order my food as I'm standing there I can't help but notice the monstrosity of a mess happening right where my food is being prepped. She already started making my food so I let her proceed, I will say she was a very sweet girl. I walk down the line (now ordering toppings) and I just can't get over the way she was throwing things in my bowl not even paying attention to food falling all in other toppings. Which is a hazard for people allergic to those things. As I'm paying for all of this I can't help but notice the putrid smell coming from the container that holds I guess drinks? Because there was water on the bottom with a smell like it had been sitting there. ALL of the grills were filthy. The soda machine was so nasty, looks like it's never been cleaned ever. There was not a single table without food all over it, no napkins at the tables. The trash was so overflowed it was falling out of the trash container. The catering bags were on the floor in the back and they WERE FILTHY mold everywhere. An employee was walking around having LOUD conversation on her phone and she was covered in animal hair....... IM ALLERGIC To the fur. Literally a nice lunch turned into a nightmare. I will never. EVER go back to Moes. Someone in corporate needs to pay a visit because it seems the store is...
Read moreFirst off, im not one of those people that easily complain, but, On Saturday afternoon 2/26/22 around 4pm, my daughter and I attended Moes in Oakleaf for a late lunch, early dinner. Immediately when entering the restaurant, a strong odor similar to sewage was noticed. While in line ordering, I noticed that the counters looked like they haven't been wiped down in some time, there were food remnants all over the counter, the floor looked dirty, there were trays and other items thrown about. In the essence of time, I felt compelled to stay and get something to eat real fast before our show downtown.
On Saturday evening around 11:30pm, my daughter complained of stomach cramps, soon thereafter she started vomiting. The vomiting continued until noon the next day. She got sick every 30 minutes for roughly 12 hours, a total of 21 times. With the absence of a fever, and her not eating anything prior during the day, I attributed her sickness to Food Poisoning caused by the unsanitary Moes grill in Oakleaf. My daughter just ordered a Salad (Romaine Lettuce), with chicken and shredded cheese. That was it, I fortunately did not fall ill. But my 7-year-old was very very sick.
I found online where their recent inspection on Feb 2nd failed miserably with 17 violations. Stay away unless...
Read moreFood is usually fresh and tasty; however the service is pretty bad. There will be a line several customers long and the staff are making pickup orders without even letting the in-store customers know wait times or assuring them that they’ll be attended to next. There’s no communication. It’s frustrating watching the online orders get processed while you’re standing waiting with absolutely no communication or even eye contact from the employees. I recently walked out of the restaurant while waiting in line for this very reason. Additionally, the employees look like they’d rather be anywhere else. I’m not sure if it’s due to having seasonal employees, or people who are experiencing working their first job; however, there is no level of customer service provided outside of management often times. This has been my experience 3 times at this location now and I don’t have much of a desire to keep going if it’s going to continue to be short-staffed and priority given to online orders from food apps. If there are large numbers of online orders, management should consider adding someone to a shift to ensure the in-person customers don’t get overlooked. Won’t be returning for a while; staffing may turn over after summer so I will revisit this review at...
