Panera Bread — Restaurant in Jacksonville

I’ve been going to this Panera since it opened . I haven’t had the issue where my order is wrong but staff attitudes have been getting worse and worse no matter if it’s the morning or night shift… I don’t know if there has been a change in management to bring on such an awful vibe.

I used to work in 2 different cafes and for 4 years so I can usually pick up on behavior patterns such as ignoring a customer at the front and acting busy because you really don’t want to be on register. I’ve also witnessed in the past an employee being talked down to by a coworker for something very mundane.

Orders will be marked ready for pickup and they aren’t. Staff will get annoyed if you’re waiting by the counter asking for the order when it is in fact not ready. I don’t know if they have a timer going and have no control if an order is in fact ready when the customer is pinged, and I know how frustrating it is to have someone stand and ask for their order when it’s during a rush but getting snippy when they have no clue it’s not going to be ready until another 10min isn’t okay. I have experienced this type of mean attitude and so has my fiancé on two separate occasions now.

They don’t have cups out now and you’ll have to ask someone at the register for one. I’m assuming people abused the sippers club policy but now when there is no one in line and there is this I don’t want to be on the register so let’s see how long I can ignore them before someone else steps in mood and then you stand there for 6 minutes ( not over exaggerating on that part) JUST to ask for a cup.. it’s annoying. I would be more understanding if they were actually busy or helping out with orders but nope.

Everyone has bad days but the employees here have a bad day every day now and it’s being taken out on themselves and on customers. I don’t want to feel like I’m the worst person ever for ordering a sandwich and a drink. I specifically go during slow hours because of my PTSD and it all just sucks. Wow. The dirtiest I’ve ever seen a Panera. I ordered my food & a drink that I had to ask for after they put it on the counter and walked away (it happens everytime when I order at this location- not sure why they never put the drink and I have to ask everytime? It’s annoying.) There was no other people in there so it was slow and employees were there with not much going on behind the counter and they could have been cleaning or doing something because most of the tables and both drink stations were dirty and everywhere on the floor had filth and dirt. Then while I was trying to ignore all that, flies kept flying around me, and ultimately just had to leave, I was planning on working on some things for a while, but I couldn’t be in there for long. That was the worst I’ve ever seen a Panera. Even if they did just deal with a big rush, it was completely empty and the employees could’ve been cleaning up especially if there was...

This store is the worst store I’ve been in for my coffee and food. My food was wrong I had spent $30 on my order and it was made wrong. I told the manger and what I get told is that I just want free food and that I need to leav they store how disgusting and disrespectful they can be towards people the old lady that work at the front with glasses on was rude to she snatched my food from me and told me nothing is wrong. Oh yeah let me not forget I did and appellation and the hiring manager forgot her name told me I had the job and to come Monday when I got there she told me she got me mixed up with someone eles and that I don’t have the job. That was so embarrassing and a disgrace I felt so humiliated. This is the worst place I’ve ever applied...
