Please save your money! Anyone who gave this miserable experience 4 or 5 stars has never been to a well done and professional mystery dinner. This was a birthday present for my Sister and for 4 people it was well over $300. We could have had a lot of wonderful dinners for that kind of money. Hotel food doesn't have to be bad. I've certainly eaten enough of it in my years. But this Marriott was one of the WORST meals I've ever had. Appetizers were days old vegetables. That's it. Rolls were hard with 5 little butter slices at a table for 8. Then we had to wait over an hour to finally get the main course. I saw the vegetarian plate a lady got at our table. Thrown up baby food is what it looked like. We had the fish. At least I think it was fish. On slimy mashed potatoes with limp green beans. Dessert one option. Carrot cake. Again dry and terrible. If you like to drink (might be the best way to handle this experience) take out a loan before you come. $6 for an 8oz soda and $14 for a cheap glass of wine or beer. Coffee was free though. Just what I want when I'm paying over $80 a ticket. However, as bad as the food was the "mystery" was even worse. Was there wven a mystery? Hardly. Two bad actors who aren't funny and are constantly yelling and a hostess who couldn't be bothered with even putting a little make up on and at least looking like she's not just part of the audience. Oh and wear whatever you want. Shorts were welcome and one lady came in a beach cover up, flip flops, and a huge sun hat she never bothered to take off. Don't have a dress code if you don't plan to enforce it. I could go on and on but you get the gist. Save your money and go find an actual fun experience for you, your friends, and your family. Booked 3 tickets for my Grandma myself and mom for her birthday. The show was fun and I’m sure it was just an off night but at $75 a pop it’s lacking :(. Have to consistently get up to snapshot the clues (rather than being in “the show”. Stand in line to check in then decent line for appetizers….almost to front and out of food so waited 20 minutes to replenish, stand in line again to learn that unfortunately we got left with potstickers only. Simple bar in the corner which is nice but $10 for a cheap glass of Chardonnay and cash only after already paying a high ticket price. The salmon dinner was very good but I wish that they had at least two options for dessert the way they had options for the meal because you get one slice of cheesecake and not everyone loves cheesecake. It was fun and very funny, the “show” and service was nice, but for the price of tickets you definitely expect A LOT more, especially don’t run out of food 20 minutes after entering and work for there entertainment.
