I stopped here for dinner after a 12 hour drive and to be honest I was not impressed. The restaurant is located in a strip center so there's ample parking and the grounds were well maintained. I was informed upon arrival by the staff that they were doing carry-out only even though I arrived at 8:00 pm and the restaurant doesn't close till 9:00 pm. Not a deal breaker, but it would have been nice to sit at a table and dine after driving all day. The staff was clean, but offered no greeting upon entering and appeared to lack any enthusiasm (except the cook). While it isn't mandatory to greet your customers, not doing so does set a tone for the rest of the visit. The interior is pretty blasé and doesn't have any charm or individuality that stand out from any other facility. In short, it's generic, but it was clean which is most important. I ordered a thin crust cheese pizza and Caesar salad that came out pretty quick and out the door I went. The food made me regret my decision to dine here as the pizza had a strong dried oregano presence and the sauce was unnaturally sweet which makes me believe there is sugar in the pizza sauce. The cheese had little to no stretch and was definitely a mixture. The pizza is also more bar-style pizza vs. a traditional chewy NY style pizza, but the crust did have a decent underside and decent flavor. The Caesar salad was an abomination as it was pure Iceberg lettuce and not the advertised "greens" on the menu. The dressing was a jarred, mass produced creamy Caesar that didn't have good flavor as were the croutons. Value wise it's a little overpriced given the quality of the food, but the portions were sized right for the price point. I can't recommend this place based on my experience, but they do have many other items on the menu that they might excel at so others may enjoy this place...
Read moreWe decided to go visit for our first time at this pizza restaurant. My wife said she wanted pizza today we happen to be in the area I looked it up and based on the reviews of a 4.3 we decided to give it a shot. Nice quaint little pizza Italiano restaurant tucked away in the corner of a strip mall, nice enough with a couple of tables outside even. Ordered at the counter expectations were high since they were supposedly famous for their thin crust pizza. We indeed received a thin crust pizza. It was a gooey gobbling mess. Everything slid off even after letting it sit for a moment, and it was still doughy underneath the melted cheese of which there was a plenty. Needless to say it was not edible and I took it back up to the counter. Haha she asked if I needed a box! I said no ma'am I don't need a box and I showed her and asked if this was normal? She said absolutely not, and the lady in line behind me said absolutely not also one of their regular customers. So I'm guessing it was just a one off maybe the guy wasn't used to the oven today or who knows. Anyway they offered to make it right and make another pizza I said no we've lost that loving feeling and just wanted them to know that it was unacceptable. They offered a refund which I politely accepted. So a nice little place the service was good maybe just a one off? Will give another try cuz even the girl behind the counter and one of their customers said this was not normal. But you know when you lose the feeling you lose...
Read moreTried this place on a whim while shopping in the area. I usually go to another authentic Italian spot when I am across the bridge but time didn’t allow for it. This place is usually super busy every time I am in the area but I joyfully walked right up to the counter to place my order. Staff is friendly. They said it would be about 30 mins for my pizza to be ready. I decided to just sit in and wait since I was waiting on someone to shop nearby. I liked that you can watch the pizza’s being hand tossed by the gent in the window behind the counter. As I waited on my pie the place became full of patrons quickly. Many seemed to be regulars in the area. Needless to say that meant I had to wait a little longer than 30 mins which was fine. I could sit and watch the chaotic holiday shoppers passing by the windows. Now down to the nitty gritty……. the taste of my hand tossed pie. It had a great flavor of the white cheeses with a touch of ricotta and a bit of bacon. The only downside for me, and the reason it didn’t achieve the 5 star rating, was the crust edges. It was too tough and chewy for me to eat at all. However, in their defense, I have Invisalign and some foods are just harder to eat right now. Will I go back to this spot? Quite possibly when I get my Invis off I will try again. They sure haven’t endured the test of time being in this business for years if they weren’t a favorite amongst...
