Man this place is horrible. But it's one probably the only drive-thru smoothie so in town. If I knew if other places that stayed open as late SK does, I would go there.
I made an online order Saturday morning for a smoothie after my workout. I know they are normally busy on Saturday mornings so I purposely showed up 5-10 late for my smoothie (because in the past, I would order a smoothie to be made ASAP, drive 25mins from my house, and it still not be ready😒, that's another story), no big deal though. I understand that they are a one-of-a-kind store here in Jacksonville. So I pull up to the drive-thru on the left side to pick up my online order, but there was debris blocking the entryway due to the storm we had overnight. Again, I say no big deal, I'll just walk up the the front window. I watched this one white girl, was told her name was Sarah, walk past the window 3 times before I opened the window myself and greeted the employees. I told them I was picking up an online order. Instantly Sarah yells, "well we haven't worked on your order yet, we're still making it, we have a line full of cars...." all of the excuses in the world, but she never even gotten my name for her to make the assumption that my order wasn't ready. There was only 1 car waiting to place an order, so maybe 3-4 cars in line total. The other employee, unfortunately I didn't get her name, asked for my name and then she pulled the smoothie out the fridge like it was magic. I looked at Sarah and asked her why she was lying so early in the morning and she had no words. Outstanding! This place has like a 87 rating, which is horrible considering the size of the establishment and the number of staff, there's got to be a lease one competent person running the store. I'd rather you be closed while you work to better your store and staff than to receive piss-poor service by your employees.
Everyone else has raised their wages on western, maybe if you raise yours, employees would be more polite. Lmk if you raise your wage to $19, I'll come back there and get...
Read moreDuring my lunch break, I decided to go to this smoothie king. I arrived at 2:45 pm where there was a little bit of a line but no big deal. At 3:04 (19 minutes later) a supervisor came out to every car and let us know they ran out of ICE and sent a crew member to retrieve it. I’m not sure how you run out of your main inventory without knowing or better yet, wait to run out before going to “buy ice” from somewhere else. I ask the supervisor to have the other cars move because I was stuck between cars and a medium. After Speaking with a few other cars the cars start to move. That’s exactly 4 minutes later. As the cars start to back up an employee drives up with ice. So I decided to stay. It’s still took another 6 1/2 minutes for me to get to the order screen. After I place my order I was quoted the full price for my smoothie. Yes, after waiting a total of 29 Minutes, I was told that I would still have to pay full price for my smoothie. Once I got to the window I asked to speak to the supervisor and ask a supervisor if they were seriously charging people full price for a smoothie they waited 30 minutes for. He told me the best he could do was to give me a coupon for my next trip. Why would I want a coupon? Why would I want to go through this experience again? Moral of the story, I got in trouble at work for going over my lunch, the lunch I grabbed before smoothie king was cold and ruined. Oh and I’m still hungry because I refused to pay almost $9 for a 30 minute smoothie. I will NEVER go back. Making a mistake is one thing, refusing to rectifying it is another. Also, I called the store manager and have heard nothing...
Read moreThis was my first time, and my last time ever coming to smoothie king. When I arrived, the wait was long which is normal for a smoothie place. Once I took my order in the drive thru, the lady had me repeat my one smoothie 3 times. I ordered the veggie superfood. She explained they were out of bananas, so I asked for a substitute of mixed berries. When I finally got to the window, I sat there for a good 5 minutes as 3 guys were messing around, throwing things at each other, and one of them was messing with the music speaker while taking a hit of his vaporizer (which is gross to know my smoothie is being contaminated, especially because I am pregnant). After finally coming to the window, I was given my drink and I almost didn't even pay until I said here is my card and the guy seemed confused. After leaving I was upset to see that I was charged for the added strawberries (not even mixed berries like I requested) because it's not my fault they didn't have the bananas my drink should have come with. After trying it, I was beyond upset. The drink tasted like nothing but sugar. I thought maybe my anger was changing my judgment, but when I got home, my husband tried the drink and he was so disgusted that he threw the drink away. I will never go back to another smoothie...
