Don't let the exterior fool you into thinking its not a nice place. Walking into it, I was pleasantly surprised by how nicely furnished it was. Its not fancy, but certainly much cleaner and dressed up looking on the inside.

Ask and you shall receive. I went in there and looked at the menu. I noticed they had these bird drawings on the plate done by unagi sauce. That takes a bit more skill. So I asked if they could do that kind of presentation. Which roll to order? I was told its if the Chef feels like it. I asked if they could do it. I included pictures of their presentation. Instead of a bird they did a palm tree for one of the plates. The quality of their sashimi was very good. There were no off tasting pieces where you could, for example taste the refrigeration. Everything did taste fresh. For something a little different , the tiger eye was nice (squid cooked salmon, avocado wrapped with nori and fresh ika. They were small pieces though 5 bite size for $6.

I noticed that the menu stated: pier to bar quality fish Which is not the same as Pier to bar fish. Please note its quality, so if you're looking for local fresh caught, that is not what it means.

The pricing was reasonable compared to where I am from. The portions were very generous. I am unsure if we had a newer server, but I did not get the impression she had much knowledge about Japanese food. She was super friendly and was helpful in accommodating my request (For picture worthy taking food) .

Honestly there wasn't really anything I can think of that we didn't enjoy., Their lunch special is a great price for 3 rolls for $11 (Includes soup or salad). They also have bento boxes and a 2 roll combo. The sizes are bite sized, cut into 8 in some cases which makes it easier to chew. The filling to rice ratio is also balanced.

The chef does have skill, so you can get instagram worthy pictures. You might need to ask for it though, because it's not a guarantee. I would return on my...

I went here with my partner and everything started off normal. We put in our order for drinks and my partner ordered their food since I was still deciding. It took 30-45 minutes for their food to arrive and our waitress didn't bother to come to our table until they brought the food. I made my order and waited another 30 minutes for my food to arrive with our waitress not being around at all. After she returned when I finished eat we asked for more sushi and a soup, it took around the same time but I didn't get my miso soup at all, I decided to wait it out and since our waitress never came by to check up I couldn't ask for how much longer it would be for it to be ready. We were given the check and where charged for the soup we never received, waiting until my partner finished the sushi will still hadn't received the soup and it was about 10-20 minutes later. We informed our waitress that we never received the soup and she grabbed the receipt quickly and took it off, but once she returned the receipt was placed on the table forcefully and she made a snarky comment about how it didn't take off to much. But we didn't want to pay for something we never received. After leaving my partner called and asked to speak with the manager about the waitresses attitude and the manager did apologize about our waitress, but we don't think we'll be returning to this establishment. Other than the poor customer service the food was enjoyable and the decor was beautiful and the atmosphere was nice. The soda I received had a strange minty taste...

Just in case you’re like me and you’re looking for dinner after working a long day.. they close at 9:30 NOT 10. They close their kitchen early, they refused to take my order at 9:28pm when they have posted that they’re open till 10. On top of that, their customer service is appalling! The lady was very rude and didn’t seem to care, I tried to explain how they should alter their posted time if they are going to not serve people past 9 basically. I asked to speak to the owner, not understanding how they would want to turn down business and she said she has no idea when the owner would be in nor does she have any way to contact them?? That’s very odd
I will DEFINITELY be taking my business anywhere else but here. Just an FYI for Sake, I spent my $80 at another place with the exact same cuisine and gave them a $20 tip because they were extremely nice and willing to still take my order even after you wasted 15 mins of my time (it took about 5 mins just for her to answer the phone). Do NOT even waste your time here. I promise their food isn’t even the best in town, there’s plenty of places that are 100x better and their...

If you’re looking for something amazing and new to try for dinner we just went to Saki Asian Fusion and it was delicious! We’re definitely our taking family here when they visit North Carolina because it’s absolutely beautiful with a tranquil atmosphere on the inside. Overall a very clean and new environment. The food was delicious and it was a great experience overall! It’s the best place we’ve gone out to dinner in Jacksonville so far. The food came out fast and our waiter was very kind and helpful since it’s the first time we’ve even had sushi so I definitely recommend this restaurant for sushi first timers or even foodies in general. It will be hard not to come back weekly. Make sure you try the fried ice cream for dessert which is melt in your mouth good as well!

I came here with my friend to get some sushi and there was hair in it. We told them nicely and they remade it. We were kind of grossed out so we decided to take the remade food to go. While eating it in the car we found MORE hair in our food. I called a few minutes after telling them and asking for a refund and was met with an extremely rude manager who told me I was a liar and had no proof. She then hung up the phone and blocked my number. I have a picture of one item with hair on it but believe me there was many more found. I cannot believe how absolutely rude and disgusting they acted about the situation. I am proud to say I will not being going back and I will be making a post on all social media platforms showing the food items with hair on them.
