Coastal Carolina Community College — Local services in Jacksonville

The website is extremely old and very buggy. I've had many issues with submitting assignments, especially tests and exams, where the website will tell me it was submitted just for me to go back to my grade and see that the website now says that I never submitted that assignment. With the last exam I took, the website wouldn't even let me submit it at all. I kept getting an error message. I took screenshots for proof that I had the exam completed before the due date and that the website wouldn't work but my teacher didn't care and I got late credit, even though I finally got the assignment in one single minute after the due date and showed him proof. This college's website is trash and has messed up my grade many times, especially since the teachers always blame the websites issues on you even when they've admitted to having the exact same issues themselves. Along with a buggy website, I've had teachers say and do very inappropriate things to me. I had this very liberal ACA teacher who told me I should be a stripper, briefly massaged my shoulders one time, got down real close to my ear to give me instructions in a really weird and uncomfortable way, told me to text her if I had any issues, said things like "I'm the only one you need to pay attention to, baby" in a voice like she was trying to be seductive, and then got all awkward when I told her I had a wife one time. If I was a woman and she was a man, she'd be fired. During the semester when I was taking this ACA class, my great grandfather died. Due to this, I had an assignment I ended up turning in a day late to which she gave me a 50%. She explained that if I had just texted her personal number then she could "help me out" next time. I never reported her because my grade wasn't great, plus the fact that it's very awkward as a man to report a woman for sexual harassment. People don't tend to take that seriously. Especially as she seems to be a very liberal feminist. All that is creepy and unwanted on it's own but add in the fact she's got to be at least 40 years older than me. Avoid...

In all honesty, I hadn't been on this campus in quite a few years. However, on May 13th 2023, I attended a family members graduation from the associate in nursing program at coastal Carolina community college. Wow! The campus is quite well kept, and very clean, the actual graduation ceremony itself seem to be very random and disorganized! The ceremony was quite late starting, and very overcrowded!! The ceremony was held in a large outdoor area on the campus. While they did have a lot of seating available, it quickly filled up. Generally, everyone seemed nice enough. We didn't have a chance to interact with many of the staff members due to the massive number of people attending the event. The event in general was just very disorganized. It seems. There was really no given order to the names being called for degrees, certificates etc. Not a big deal overall, but it just added to the general kind of random disorganization of the event. We did not even attempt to partake in the provided meal for graduates and attendees as there was far too many people and we didn't want to wait in line. The facility did have golf carts available. Shuttling those who needed transit from the parking areas, some of which were quite far from the actual event. The staff members or whoever was driving the golf carts were very friendly, very courteous, and willing to help those who needed it. It. That was nice. But, it seems they could have just had things a lot...

I love CCCC , this will make my sixth semester(3rd this go around) and it's such a wonderful community college with so much to offer and great instructors ready to stand behind you! They have help everywhere you turn. You're not alone. Campus is not too big or too small. They have a BEAUTIFUL new library on the second floor! Check out the Continuing Education building for awesome OPPORTUNITIES. Say Hi to Shane carpenter in Ragsdale or even Dr. Annie next door! You have the career coach James Anderson also wonderful(in the cafeteria) April Parker, Tyler Willis and Josephine in the Business Tech Building! DONNIE over in trades he was pretty great too! The list of amazing people on campus and off, like Stephanie Sutton could go on for days. ITS EASY TO ENROLL , and they help you along the way! Shout out to WES LEE for being so amazing, but also to those of you who have gone above and beyond for me along journey at coastal. Proud to say I attend CCCC.
