Holy shitake mushroom! The loaded breakfast potatoes were a perfect balance of bell peppers, creamy avocado, a sweet teryaki glaze, just a hint of spice, salted potato, wilted spinach and shitake mushrooms that are prepared to taste like bacon. This is a dish to remember. One of the best potato hashes I've found in Jax and it's a staple I order at every restaurant that offers it. The excellent expresso wasn't bitter but still bold. The perfect sized cup of tomato bisque soup floats one large Boursin cheese crouton and fresh basil placed in the middle. The service with Denyse was also excellent. She was very familiar with the menu and could answer detailed questions asked of the menu's minute ingredients. The live solo guitarist, comfortable yet stylish seating, adequately sized two tops that were still intimate enough to hold the hand of your date and calming ambience very suitable for a museum transported us back to our times of leisurely dining in the small streets of Barcelona. The venue offers both indoor and outdoor seating and surprisingly is open on weekdays too. The Cummer Cafe is a hidden gem of Jacksonville and one that we will be visiting much more frequently. Especially on the Museum's free first Saturday of each month.

If you visiting the Cummer Museum, you need to stop by at the Cummer Cafe. This place deserves 10/10 from me. The Cummer Cafe is one of the most wonderful place you need to try out. Me and my girlfriend went to the Cummer Museum and stop by at the Cummer Cafe for dinner. This place will be one of my favorite spot in town from now on. The reason why I said that it’s because of the foods, the drinks, the vibe, and the service was amazing. We did outdoor dining because there a lives preformance music, it was wonderful to see people preforming while we having dinner. I need to thank to Louis the manager at the cafe and Nhi our server making us having a wonderful dinner. We got recommend from Nhi our wonderful server the crab cake and cheese bread for starter and Salmon risotto, chickens sandwiches for our meal. The desert was phenomenon I wish I could have a room for another plate of the dessert. We did not forget about the drink, Espresso Martini (no need to describe) just try it. They make fresh espresso for the drink, I love the smell of it. I need to come back here again, I wish I have know this place sooner. I’ll be back again soon with all my friends in Jacksonville.

Very first time getting to go here and I would highly only recommend eating inside and paying with card. Placed an order to go for the shrimp and grits and received a very small portion (see pic). For $16, I just expected a little more than a small takeout container. Also, I paid cash and was only provided dollars in return. When asked about the missing $0.65, the hostess stated that she didn’t have any loose change, so “SHE” decided to just round up instead. I don’t have an issue with her keeping the $0.65, but at least ask me if it’s okay before you make the executive decision to just pocket my extra funds. I would imagine she does to every customer paying in cash. And yes, I tipped her prior to ever paying for my meal because that too was in cash.

I really enjoyed The Cummer Cafe! What's not to like - good food, beautiful surroundings & live entertainment! Trifecta! I went on a Tuesday (the Museum entry is free on Tuesdays thanks to a generous grant from Florida Blue and Tapas Tuesday is sponsored by VyStar Credit Union). The Museum is filled with beautiful artworks from various collections - and the cafe is situated near the entrance. Most days, due to our fantastic North Florida weather, I opt to sit outside on the terrace. Sitting under the Canopy of a beautiful live oak makes for an enjoyable afternoon or evening. They have heaters for colder evenings if needed. I enjoyed a delicious caprese salad with fresh mozzarella and a balsamic vinaigrette. I sat inside, so I could enjoy the guitar soloist. I'm not sure if Restaurant Week affected things, but my original request of crab cakes came back with "unfortunately we're out", but no worries - I'm glad they were busy! I've been several times and will continue to frequent the cafe. It's a beautiful place to spend...
