I experienced overt racism at the Honey Baked Ham on Arlington Expressway. It left me and the other customers perplexed and overwhelmed from the way in which she spoke to me and the cashier. The white manger or supervisor told the black cashier to not check me out and that I had to go to the back of the line without any explanation. I entered the door and walked through the barricade line that direct customers who purchased their order online to the designated pickup check out counter. The other customers in line were waiting to place an order because they entered through the walk-in door. The cashier greeted me and asked to scan my barcode for my pickup order. The manager interrupted her and said take care of your customer and rudely told me to join the end of the line. Everyone was puzzled and taken aback my her abrupt rudeness in the way she handled me. Even the cashier tried to speak up by saying she was told to handle the customers that came through the door I had entered. The manager dismissed her and me as she repeatedly yelled at me to get in the other line. She walked in the back and didnāt come back out or offer any explanation as to why I had to leave the designated pickup counter for online reservation orders. I didnāt want to go through the hassle of getting a refund and possibly interacting with her again. So, I did get in the other line to get my food order. A few of the customers told me to come get in front of them as a courtesy because of the rude and racist way she addressed me and the cashier who is also black. I strongly advise the store management to train who they put in leadership positions because that was poor quality customer service and management. I will not be returning...

I called and told the guy my sandwich was incorrect. I drove all the way back there to get the correct sandwich. The guy that made my sandwich was acting like it was my fault that my sandwich was wrong . i specifically told him what sandwich i wanted . he made the sandwich when i got in my car i checked my food and he still made it wrong . i was really upset. This rude guy was yelling at me and arguing . he told me not to say anything to him so he can just give me my money back . i told him give me your managers name and number . he was so rude to me . he was yelling saying he worked there 11 years and he never had a customer like me . i was so shocked that he was yelling at me and im the customer i just orders a sandwich . i would not come back here at all and i will be contacting rich kersey the general manager. I dont care how long you worked somewhere being rude to customers is not acceptable. That guy needs to seek anger management . he do not need to be in customer service . i thought he was gonna hit me he was so mad at me . i will never come back to that place....
Ā Ā Ā Read moreGreat Ham and food thatās not the issue. My complaint is the confusion with the pick up at the Jacksonville Beach location. Per Gloria, who I verified twice with while placing phone order you can order/reserve a ham and pick it up at the Jacksonville Beach pop up shop. This is completely false information. The pop up shop does not reserve your order as instructed by Gloria. You can walk in at the Beach shop and grab whatever the location has on hand but that is all. This is what I discovered when I went to go get my āreservedā ham. There seems to be a ton of miscommunication because when I called the main number to let them know what occurred at my pickup a Carol also said you can pick up your reserved ham at the Jacksonville Beach store. It would be helpful if google showed the store location and what they offered because even honey baked ham workers are misinformed. Itās very nice to have this little shop but please clarify the purpose to avoid upset and...
