Showed up mid afternoon only 4 tables with customers and 1 was a drink order only. Waitress came to get drink order after 5-6 min. drinks arrived 11 min later. She came back after 17 min of standing around to get food order. But failed to call it out for another 22 min. Still only 4 tables of customers. There were 2 waitresses, a cook, and the manager (who was not doing anything constructive.) Waitress brought out the to go order first. And one of our party received half her order after 27 min of waiting and my food sat on the counter. She ate it even though it was cold. The waitress brought out the third party's bacon and stated his eggs were being cooked next...seriously people if a group comes in together they usually want to eat together! When asking for the manager he stated "tell them I'm busy, I'll talk to them when I'm done" he was standing around doing nothing up to this point then decided to stock. He was so bad at his job he wouldn't even turn around to acknowledge us when I asked him his name and store number. I was a restaurant manager for over 20 yrs and wouldn't have anyone of these people as employees except the poor soul who was cooking and obviously hadn't been trained for it. This store needs a serious overhaul. I wouldn't recommend this...
Read moreWhile it's a standard Waffle House with the normal menu you'd find at any other in the chain, this one stood out to me. It was insanely busy (as most are), but ALL the employees seemed very nice, as they all were smiling when in contact with their customers. I was placing an order to go, so stepped up to the register and greeted by Kasey. You'd think I was a long-lost relative, she was so friendly!!! She warmly greeted me, and I placed my rather complicated order (waffle and hash browns extra done, "X" separated from "Y", extra syrup, etc) and had a seat and texted my husband that I had just placed our order. In what seemed like 30 seconds later she appeared in front of me, huge smile intact, saying "Miss Josie, here's your order". We ordered biscuits and gravy with country ham, toast, waffle, and 2 orders of hashbrowns. Everything was perfectly done, and all the food was under 12 bucks. I had only left a $2-and-change tip when I paid, but I was so startled I didn't leave more before I left. I'll make it up next time, because I'll definitely be...
Read moreI grew up all around the Eastern side of the country, north and south. When I lived up north, Waffle House was her code to when visiting down south. Whenever we live down south, Waffle House became a regular family tradition to visit. Needless to say, I've been to a lot of waffle houses. Typically they are known for their greasy food, bad staff, and freezing interior. However, this place is so different! The food was fantastic, cooked perfectly, the staff was incredibly friendly, in the interior was not cold as heck. I just moved here with my husband, and I recall him telling me about how nice The Waffle House here was. Whenever I arrived, I was not expecting it to actually be nice. I thought it would be nice "for a Waffle House." But honestly, this place is so refreshing to visit. The staff is so nice and they make the experience all the better. The food was some of the best I've ever had, and we received it very quickly. I will definitely be visiting again, and again, and again - especially...
